How does one develop a deeply rooted faith in Jesus? Stories, Scriptures, thoughts, are all appreciated here.
By committing oneself to living a Christ like life daily. As in life (where exercise increases strength, and exercise can be difficult and painful), faith in Jesus is strengthened not by the blessings He bestows upon us, but through the trials we face in life that He sees us through.

(a few Scriptures)

1 Peter 5:10 - But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

James 1:12 - Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Romans 12:12 - Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Exodus 14:14 - The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Desenvolver uma fé profundamente enraizada em Jesus envolve um processo pessoal e contínuo que combina práticas espirituais, reflexão, estudo e vivência dos ensinamentos cristãos.

One example is the woman who had a haemorrage. She touched Jesus' garment in spite of her condition. She was desperate as the medical profession of the time were of no help (Luke 8:43-48).

And that is the secret of knowing Christ better. We need to "press in", so to speak, spend time with Jesus, enter the most holy place and come with confidence to the throne of grace. Don't forget that you have no righteousness of your own. Never forget that you have a far better righteousness, that which is of Christ.

We need much more than a mental knowledge of God's word. It has to be real to us. The reality of what we believe is proven to us by experience. We may that we trust the Lord, but what if He asks us to do something we fear to do? What if we face illness, loss of a job or relationship issues?

When faced with problems, the answer is always to draw near to Jesus, not to hide from Him. We should be honest and confess our weaknesses and inability to cope. Then we will stand back and see the glory of the Lord as He steps in to resolve our problems. Cast your care on Him, no matter what. And then leave the burden with Him. Never get complacent. That surely leads to trouble.

I have 50 years of trouble, failure, defeat and God's mercy and grace to draw on. Many things that would have devastated me decades ago I just brush off. That is solely by the grace of God. And God has not finished His work in me yet. I'm still a work in progress.
Yeah. First we trust Him with good parking spots. Then, perhaps, with favor among strangers. Then, maybe with our wife's health as she births the babies. Then, with the safety of our children. Then...

I was a little different. It never occurred to me to involve God in my daily life. If I was desperate, yes. But I had a natural/spiritual divide which is wrong. Today I struggled with a fold up item that I had to get in my car. Asking God was my first response. He came through for me in an instant. We were never intended to live independently of God. The sooner we learn that, the better.
