God is good and His goodness amazes me!
I bought a used van Dec of 2008. Just 6 weeks after buying it, I took in to have the tires balanced
thinking that was what was causing the shimmy I was getting on the interstate. Once they checked
it, the findings were almost unbelievable.
The struts were shot, the strut mounts were rusted and someone had painted over them so the
van could be sold. The rack & pinion was shot. I took it back to the place I had just bought the
van from 6 weeks earlier. They said these things weren't a problem.
I'm almost to Dec 09 now and the van has to be reinspected. I was worried about the van not
passing the inspection because as I mentioned above, I had already taken back to the place I
bought it and they seemed to have the mindset "we have your money. The van is your problem."
Today 10-16-09 to stopped in to see if I could get them to do a pre-inspection so I could get
things fixed so the van would pass inspection this Dec. They took a quick look and said they
can't see a problem with the van so bring it back in Dec and they will pass it.
I know the van has the problems but like most people, I'll get it fixed when the so-called broken
parts that are working fine right now actually break.
It was going to cost me from $500 - $700 to get the basics fixed but now it will only cost about $175
for the inspection. This is the blessing I have been praying for. I have prayed that I can get one
more year out of the van. And now, that blessing has been granted to me!
The van is a nice van. Its black with tinted windows and aluminum rims with low profile tires and
does just about everything but make coffee. (It might do that too but I haven't found the
coffee button yet!)
Its main problem is whoever owned it before me didn't take very good care of it. But it runs great
and has no obvious problems. This is why I hated to have to junk it.
But now that won't be needed. After I left the repair place, I was jumping around in my seat
excited and praising God for taking time to take care of a small problem to Him but a problem
that was massive to me and the effects would be almost devastating to my welfare if I had to
get rid of the van right now.
Praise the Lord! How Great Is Our Lord? He is so great any attempt by me to describe Him would
belittle Him. So I'll just say "Thank you Lord".
