Since this is on food items, i have decided to post here instead of in Misc. Would u care to tell how much some items are in ur place, just so we have an idea when converting some things. I mean, it doesnt matter what, if u often buy and use butter, then would u tell how much butter is there? Here the cheaper brand sells at about $2+/ 225 grams block. Some time ago i heard in the news some item in canada wc costs abt 50-60cents suddenly costing more than a dollar. (Now honestly i forgot what that item is=( but is that not too much!) Here what i've seen rise in price for one, is the tomato. Funny, but what cost abt P 30/kg before would sometimes be sold at P80-150 now ($2-5). So now its too expensive, then i just opt to buy others so expensive before but now quite affordable. like carrots, then at $2-3, now some sold at $1!

Looking through a sales flyer, here in North Texas, organic eggs are $4 for 18, whole wheat bread is just over $2 per loaf. Non-organic milk is about $2.50 a gallon. Most apples are about $1.50 a pound. I buy butter all the time, but don't remember the exact amount... I'm thinking it's around $2.00 to 2.50 per pound (4 sticks).

If you want to know how much different places charge for different products, you can pick a place and then google a sales paper for grocery stores. All you need to know is the name of grocery store chains in different countries.

In the USA, the bigger stores are Acme, Super Fresh, Pathmark, Shop and Bag, Shoprite, Giants, and I think Piggly-Wiggly in our South. Sure, that means you only see sale prices, but who buys at full price anyway?

Thanks, lynn. i thought of that but it seems so impersonal, i prefer what/how cc people see and experience how much.. It is like each time i considera product not actually from here, i wonder.. something like.. the time zone, or temperature in C or F. It may not even be relevant to many, but it was just a thought at some time.
