The Bible says those of us in the last days know him as our husband. Intimately
Hosea 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
Baalali is master
Ishi is My darling
so here is a poem about that
Jesus, my Ishi, my dear husband and champion
strong is his arm and wonderful his salvation
Each Battle he fights, ends in victory!
My life companion for eternity
Life is made pleasant by my husbands constant company
He walks with me and intimately talks, supporting me
His gentleness exceeds all my desires
Sweet love his gaze expresses and inspires
My heart is open to his influence and his embrace
He takes into account and knows my many faults and offers grace
Yet tenderly his heart flows out to me
Praise God! He loves me unremittingly!
In love he disciplines and I feel pain and suffering
His tender voice surrounds me like a balm of soft whisperings
My Ishi's word removes my stoney heart
A new soft heart of flesh his word imparts.
Healed and restored, my Ishi I will praise, with grateful songs
Which spring from deep within my recreated heart now strong
To grow more like him and to follow him
Is my response for I adore him!
