I am struggling, and have been for years, i need prayer so badly

hello everyone, i struggle with pornography/homosexuality and need help desperately. I know its wrong, i know the sexually immoral and homosexuals do not inherit the kingdom of god, but i can not stop. I need prayers of deliverance and hope to move on to a better relationship with jesus christ. please keep me in your prayers, I can not do this on my own. :(

First of all, i commend you on your courage for posting this and secondly for your acknowledgment of how God sees persons who live with this sin. Not all homosexuals even know of the sin they are practicing. I can not really say I understand your situation because I don't have feelings for the same sex, but, I can empathize with you. There must be some scientific reason why homosexuals are or became like that but I just believe if you really can find the power of self-control from deep within, you could stop what you are having difficulty with. Just like smoking or taking drugs, or even sucking your thumb, you have to reach a point in your life when you are going to say to yourself...STOP!! no more!! This is wrong, this is sinful, this is unhealthy.

Just as a side note: I became a victim of a confused homosexual boyfriend just in August, who didn't tell me he was gay till I found out myself. He made me believe we were going to get married, have children etc.. when all along he knew this was not what he truly wanted. We were together for 15 months. He really broke my heart and hopes.. I actually joined Christian Chat after the break up for Christian support to get over my despair.

Try to get help, professionally or otherwise, even here is good, but don't give up...You've already made a step in the right direction by asking for help.. :) Keep seeking help, you will get answers.. If you seek God now...he will help you find the way...

Heavenly Father,

I know that you can not win this on your own. Will power only takes us so far. Every person in my life that has not overcome an addictive, destructive, habit by the Word of God and/or His mercy, has either fallen back into it later on in life when things got rough, or, has picked up something else to replace it. Will power does not provide a heart change. All the issues of life flow from the heart. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. They say that they are free and changed, but, in their heart they still have not overcome, nor have they been changed. They boast in their own strength. Here, I am asking you to boast in the cross.

It will arm you to take up the word of God, to recognized the temptation, to let Christ disarm the tempter, and to let the Word of God fight for you.

I encourage you to get with a Pastor that is full of good fruit and the love of Christ to pray with. If you fall into temptation again, confess the corrupt fruit to your Pastor and have him pray for the Lord to forgive you. If you don't have someone like this in your life, call the CBN prayer line and confess it to them. Confess it every time you bear the corrupt fruit.

The Word of the Lord will overcome this for you. By God's Word, you will beat your enemies as fine as dust and cast them out like dirt in the streets. You will fan them and they will blow away like chaff in the wind. The whirlwind will scatter them. You will look for your enemies, but, will not be able to find them. Jesus take away the disire to need the same sex, move with in him the man you designed him to be.
Bring him back into balance mind, body and spirit. Replace his disire, with a disire to look up who you are Lord!!!

In faith, look to Jesus, for He who has begun a good work in you will bring it to compleation.
We rest in Jesus because He has ovwercome the world, for we cannot do this on our own, but in Jesus, we are given victory.
Love Jesus, He will bring all His healing love and victory to you though His love, and the love you have for Him.

Bro, I will be praying for you. The bible tells us in Romans 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
When Jesus died, he took your sins away and gave you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions. Whenever you face thoughts of sin, rebuke them in Jesus name and confess that you have been freed from sin and won't fall into it. I will keep you in my prayers bro. God bless

It's such a messed up world now a days. I think one of the main reasons for the launch of the internet was to release porn on a mass scale. So ya it's tough. Dear lord please help this person gain self control. Amen

Hey Cj, first of all I want to let you know that I struggled in the exact same area, i couldnt stop my friend. But Jesus is the ultimate forgiver and deliverer and He can deliver you. But it is also good to talk to someone and get encouragement. And I dont mean a professional counselor or anyone like that. they wont help you. unless you get a Christian one there going to tell you there is nothing wrong. If you ever want to talk PM me or email me, ill even give you my cell number if your ever in a position where your not on here and need help. Im praying my friend. Stay strong and pray pray pray pray. :) God has not forsaken you or condemned you. and there IS a way out. Love you brother. God Bless
