Good song and actually those few words are pretty deep.

Hard to put all my thoughts on it into words: but here goes nothing....

I think, this song poses the questions do people really know God and have a personal relationship with him? Or are they just following religion and the traditions of men?

How do we know that we are saved? Isn't that because we have a personal relationship with God and have faith and put our trust in Him?

We need to know him for ourselves not just what the preacher or others say about Him.

I think the song is encouraging others to get to know God better and strengthen our personal relationship with Him. We get closer to God praying, reading his words, and spending time with Him. If we do that, then we have a close relationship with God and we know that we know that we know we are saved.

Just my thoughts anyways...:)

I haven't listened to southern gospel for a while. That had a great message. It brings 1 John 5:13 to mind.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
