Around 1st grade, my friend invited me to go to Church with her. That Sunday, we all went, and settled in. The members were nice, the pastor was friendly, ect. I was listening to the teacher in Sunday school talk about Jesus, and how he loves us all. I was confused as to who Jesus was, but i just pushed it aside and moved on.
Then it came time for service. I settled in next to my mother, where we stood awkwardly while the congragation sang. Then after offering, childrens message, ect came the sermon. I discovered that God was the creator of the earth, and that he loves us all VERY much. I learned that he sent his son, Jesus to die on the cross to pay for our sins. I was confused, wondering why anyone would do that, so at that moment in time i became an Atheist, and refused to belive in Christ.
Then, a prayer request was sent out. Someone's mother had Cancer, (Do not remember what kind it was), and was not going to make it. I thought to myself: "Pfft. Where is your God now?" As she slowly suffered. A few weeks later, the pastor got an update, and presented it in front of everyone. The person's Mother was healed, and not a SINGLE sign of Cancer was found in her body.
I was shocked, and i knew that God was real, so i asked him to forgive my sins, and now, his light shines through me. I am not longer a child of Darkness, but a child of light!
