Lately I've Been Concerned About My Health. I've Seen Doctor's And Cardiologists About This Issue I've Been Having With My Heart. I'm Only 18 But I Have Palpitations Every Day Almost. At First I Thought I Had A Heart Problem, Doctors Said That Is Not TheCase , My Heart Is Extremely Well. So Then I Thought Maybe I Could Have Hyperthyroidism, I Haven't Looked Into It Yet But I Could Use Some Assistance As To What I Need To Do To Get Healthy. I Don't Exercise But I Eat Alot Yet I Never Gain Weight. Doc Said I Could Be Dehydrated Also.

my father has hyperthyroidism....he was losing weight like crazy no matter what he ate, and he was sooooo exhausted, and also sensitive to light before he got diagnosed and put on a course of treatment.

perhaps you should see a second doc and get another opinion - 5'11 and 118 lbs is super thin, especially for a guy. if it's a thyroid issue, it's easy enough to draw blood to check your hormones and get an ultrasound of your neck area to take a look, might not be a bad idea to get lab work done anyway... see if anything is off and use that as a starting point if your doctors haven't already done so.

have you always been this underweight? really, could be anything, absorption issues, parasites, thyroid...be persistent with your doctors until you get your answers...to answer the question in your post, once the source of this is identified, you'll have a better understanding of what it is you need to do to remain healthy. I'm not a doctor, but I know I wouldn't be satisfied with the dehydration response.

Definitely ! Thank You For This, I Will Check Into It To Find Out What's Going On. I've Always Been This Thin Unfortunately Lol ! So It Could Just Be Genetic, Then Again I Want To Rule Out Anything Serious. I Pray Its Not Diabetes :(

If you are concerned about your heart you might try supplementing with CoQ10. It strengthens heart muscle.

And aged garlic, and magnesium, and Miror EPF. And eat less sugar and saturated fats, and don't eat late at night.

Don't start taking vitamins and such on your own. Ask your doctor first. You may just have an irregular heartbeat, or a heart murmur..

This is how I gained weight. I had lots of bacon, cooked everything in butter, knew what was tasty. If you do know tasty, please refer to a good southern style cook book. Just don't make chitlens in the house, you'll regret it ahaha
