God doesn't choose the qualified, He qualifies the
chosen. That is to say we need to become humble.
It scripture, He always exalted the lowly; their ears
and hearts are open to Him. He made kings out of
the younger and lowered the lofty. For example, He
didn't choose His apostles from the Pharisees who
thought they knew everything but actually made the
laws their God. Many times Jesus called all of them
hypocrites in fact. Instead He chose those who He
saw as in some ways as outcasts. Why did He do
that, because He felt that they would be open to His
teachings. So He chose the twelve warts and all and
began to fashion them into believers and followers.
So it is important to us to not seek to read the words
in scripture for knowledge only. It is important for us
to surrender to God and with great humility, follow
the examples of Christ.
