If we were to accept that Christ really walked a walk we were to follow or if we decided to get anything from pagan roots out of our worship, what a different life we would lead. If we decided that when Paul showed us the open arms of God to bring the gentiles in, that we were included, not a separate people, our very life would change.

Worship would be part of our daily routine. We would have the random prayer we have now, but also we would check it for following the guide lines given us, so formal prayer would be added. We would always start by praising and acknowledging God, It would always include asking to be cleansed, we would ask for our daily bread both fleshly and spiritual, we would formally forgive others and not hold anything against them but give them to God, we would ask that our entire life be in tune with the Kingdom of God, and end with praising Him. That would be the formal prayer, and our private prayers would follow.

Most people would follow stricter guidelines for Sabbath rest, it would always include giving love, both to the people around us and to our God. So if we worked, that work would be for love of someone.

We probably wouldn’t be doing our shopping on Sunday, and we would probably work harder during the week.

If we got rid of anything that came from worship of other Gods that we changed to be from our God, it would be a major change. Easter would be out of here, and we would probably end up with a Christian Passover Seder like the Jews have. It came from God’s say so, Christ showed us how, and it is about Christ. Rabbits, eggs, and ham dinner would be gone and we would have lamb as a main course. And family.

Christmas came from making pagan celebrations over into Christian ones, and we wouldn’t have a holiday that started with pagan ideas but keep to Christian ones. I wonder if we would start new with a celebration of Christ’s birth in our world in the spring when He was born.

We would have more holidays, because we would be celebrating each step of our life in Christ with a feast. Passover to celebrate Christ, First Fruits to celebrate that Christ saves us from sin as he was an example of the firstfruit, Shavuot to celebrate the Holy Spirit, Rosh Hashanah for the day of judgment to come, and Yon Kippur to celebrate the new world we will have.

It would be quite a change in our life, and our life would center on Christ.

Why would we throw out the celebration of Yeshua's resurrection for a Passover seder?
Why drop the celebration of our Lord's birth?
The Messianic movmn't would be more appealing if they spoke more of Yeshua and His work on the cross and less of Torah and Moses. They should also speak more of Abraham than Moses since he is the true father of the faith.

In this "what if" we would drop Easter because the word Easter has nothing to do with Christ and does have meaning in the pagan world. Because it was changed to be Christian. So in our "if" world we got rid of all that didn't originate with God and Christ. The passover seder is all about Christ only, originated as a celebration of Christ, has nothing in it that isn't of Christ. Easter has other ideas in it, so in our "if" world everything that isn't completely about Christ from its very beginning goes.
