There are probably already a million posts on this issue,, but I'm gonna post another one. We need to have the option to put someone on ignore in the chat rooms. There are individuals that would be on ignore of I had the option to do so. There are people that say some very mean, nasty and disrespectful things and nobody says anything. I'm getting tired of it.

I haven't been into the chat rooms in sooooooooooo long, maybe things have changed but I think there is an ignore button somewhere.....maybe in "options" on your control panel?? also in pc...there used to be an exclamation point that when you pushed it, that person couldn't pc you......

But anyways,....best thing to do most times is report......copy and paste as much as possible....and report......

Okay THERE ARE ALREADY several ignore options available.
They are as follows:

PM box - if you open someone's PM box and click on the 'ignore' tab that will ignore all PM correspondence with them- however they will still be able to type/speak in the room.

If you want to ignore someone in chat- this is how you do it:

Go to control panel. In there somewhere (setting & options -edit ignore list) there is an option to add specific users to your 'ignore list'. If you choose to do this, ALL correspondence from those users you have selected to ignore, will be ignored- PM messages, text in the chatroom, forum posts, chat mail, profile visitor messages etc etc.

Hope that helps.

Oh nice! I did not know this option existed! Sweet!

I think the ignore option in the control panel only ignores pm's and forum posts.

No it doesn't.

It ignores ALL correspondence from the chosen user. Try it. It will warn you that it will ignore ALL correspondence and ask you if you want to proceed.

I have people on my ignore list and they keep sending me chat-mail (which I can't see because I've ignored them).. they also write on my profile wall (which again I can't see because I have them on ignore).

How do I know this- because when I wasn't responding to them they had other people contact me and ask why I havent answered their chat mail etc.. to which I could legitimately reply 'What chat mail?' ...

Weird! It works for me! I just tried it again too.

I have to physically 'disable' the ignore option to see the posts/messages made by the people I'm ignoring.

Odd! I don't know why this doesn't work for you..

Maybe it works for some people and doesn't work for others depending on how much ur heart really wants to ignore this person :D

I don't know.

I can't explain it. Robo checked to see if there was any difference in the settings between Mods and regular chat members, and there isn't.

So, who knows. It's a conspiracy.
