Are you using Chrome? If so you're spell check options are under the Menu (icon with three lines to the up-right)\settings\(scroll down to) show advanced settings...\(scroll down to) Languages\language and input settings... you may want to choose English (United States) and it will say whether or not spell check is supported in that language.
