Hi I'm Anna I'm a 22 year old female Christian from the USA who is dealing with a spiritual problem but I cannot find a church I believe is true, I personally just go by the kjv bible and take the bible very literal. I cover my rad when praying and try to obey the bible completely. I really want a friend who is like me but I donr think there is anyone. I do not like church traditions etc like tounges without a interpreter, thays umbilical and umbilical ways of praying like pleaing the blood of Jesus etc and otbwr prayer forms made up by the church I directly pray the way the bible tells me to and want some prayer buddies who are the same. I know most will disagree with me and I'm not here to argue but if anyone like me is out there I'd love to meet them

'I have learned spiritual discipline is too often avoided and /or just simply
ignored. And I believe sound and meaningful prayers surely requires spiritual reality.

'The Holy Spirit being an essential ingredient to help with spiritual guidance.
Worldliness appears to be a great hindrance of striving for spiritual clarity.

Hi. Welcome.

How many churches have you attended? If you believe most churches are false, what leads you to think interacting on a forum where everyone is anonymous save for their pseudonyms and profession ,not proof,of their faith, will afford you a better experience?

Welcome, annakjb!

When I read your post, it seemed that you were placing burdens on yourself that are not necessary for the Follower of Christ. Thus I share with you Matthew 11:28-30:

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I hope you find a church where you find yourself comfortable. That's not always easy nowadays.

There is one church and Jesus is the Head. The church is made up of fallible people. You will not find the perfect church on this earth. The KJV is OK, but there are words in it that mean something different these days and mistranslations also. If you want to be exact, learn Hebrew and Greek. You are young enough.

The KJV and every other version tells believers not to quit meeting with other believers. (Hebrews 10:25) Don't try to find the perfect church. You are not perfect. So it would no longer be perfect if you join it.

What do you mean "cover your rad"?

Hi Anna i am a Bible believing Christian and i do acknowledge the KJV as the Inspired Word of God..

I also often have problems with different Church / denominations interpretations of scripture.. But i can distinguish between core doctrines of salvational importance and side issues that will i believe have no real bearing on ones eternal destiny.. Things like wearing head coverings for woman that you brought up in your post to me is not a doctrine that will determine ones eternal destiny..

When it comes to signs like tongues i do not trust in them.. I listen to what is being preached in those churches to see if it is in alignment with the Word of God.. I know that in the end times great deception there will be lying signs and wonders that will be performed to deceive and bring delusions upon the unsaved..

Wisdom is knowing what is vital in regard to beliefs and what is peripheral ( a disputable matter )

In any case each and every one of us must seek the leading of the Holy Spirit in understanding the will of God and we have to be mindful to conscience in dealing with our fellow human beings..

Hello Anna and welcome to Christian Chat. I also read the King James Bible. I am currently not attending a church and I enjoy reading the Bible and praying to God throughout the day. May the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. I hope you will find some of the topics in the Christian Forums section to be interesting. I've enjoyed reading discussions in the forums through the years.

(KJV Revelation 22:14) "Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

Hi annakjb lovely to meet you, welcome to CC! Have fun browsing the Forums and perhaps start a Thread about your situation. God bless you and may you make some new friends here🙏🌷

Throughout history, changes in language have resulted in a variety of linguistic styles found in the Bible

The exact phrase "plead the blood" never appears in the Bible, and no biblical character is recorded praying this way

Revelation 7:9
King James Version
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

John 14:6
King James Version
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 2
King James Version
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

Matthew 6:9-13
King James Version
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Matthew 18:19
King James Version
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

1 Corinthians 11:3-7
King James Version
3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

1 John 5:14
King James Version
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

2 Timothy 3:16
King James Version
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Hi Anna , I also stick with my KJV and love it very much . Do u have one with the dedication in the front ?
TO THE
MOST HIGH AND MIGHTY PRINCE ,
JAMES etc
If not , I can recommend it .

I also have tried a few different churches , I'm in England , because I also struggle with some of the things that the more popular denominations believe . So at the moment I don't attend an actual physical church building . My church at the moment is in my heart . I haven't given up hope though . The most important thing I think , is for us to keep our hearts and minds attuned to God's Word , b prepared for your beliefs to maybe change slightly as your studying of the Bible progresses . It's has to b taken as a whole thing , not as separate so that some things r less important . It's all God's Word and therefore important for us to take into our hearts .
U r in the very early days of what will hopefully b a life long love affair with the Truth , b open minded and open hearted and trust in your God always . He will put u where u r supposed to b when u r supposed to b there .
Our lives r one long proving ground , God uses this world and the things and people of it , to teach us , how to appreciate Him properly and cling to Him tighter every day . I'm 59 and He is still moulding me by my life experiences . Keep up the good work , read His Word ( Old and New ) every day , say your prayers and thank Him every day and remember two very important things . Forgive , and don't judge others . In this life u may find these two things hard to always do , I know I have . But I have learned that these two things r vital but , even after all these years of knowing that , it doesn't get any easier to actually do them ! Take care and may God bless u always .

Jesus is God Almighty and His Word is preserved in the King James Version Bible. We have discovered many facts in the past few years to reveal that God has authenticated the KJV by numerical structures. For instance Jesus name appears 70*7 times in the odd numbered books and 70*7 times in the even numbered books of the new testament. Also the fact when all words and verse numbers are added together the total is 7 to the 7th power. This again is powerful authentication from God regarding His Word and sheds light on the inordinate push to change words without end in other versions. There is so much more than this and I hope to show this info to Christians as well as many other things that have not been discussed.
