I'm so angry and hurt I don't know what to do with myself!

My husband finally left almost 5 months ago. He's been in a psychiatric hospital for all this months. He's been violent, abusive, and manipulative. Apparently, he was released sometime last week and no one bothered to tell me! This family professes to love me and still wants me in their lives, but they pull this?! What makes it worse is that he's been at his sisters, my apartment manager who lives two doors from me, several times since he was released.
Some friends from church, which he left a year ago, saw him on Saturday and the husband even confronted my father-in-law about telling me. But they left it up to him because of the state of my husband.

that is what carnal mindedness can do to a family.sin brings the worst out,and no one wants something bad...like insensitivity,lack of concern for someone that is a family member,not being aware that you have feelings too. its one of those things that the devil is attracted to,no matter how awful it is to you.the devil loves it. destroying what GOD wants the best for.the devil will work through the flesh of those that do not know that devil is using them.the devil will have them thinking the problem is(yours),and have you thinking the problem is them,while he kicks back in a corner laughing.

sometimes people don't know what to say or do when in an uncomfortable situation. Knowing how he has treated you in the past and maybe not wanting to upset you, people just remain quiet. Sometimes, especially in cases of abuse, people may have your best interest in mind but don't know how to handle the situation. Yet, it doesn't seem like they are thinking of you from your perspective because you would have liked to have known that he was out.

I would suggest not getting mad at them, but instead calmly telling them what you need from them so that they know how they can support you. I just pray that you have the wisdom not to let yourself live in that situation again. I'll be praying that God gives you His Love and His wisdom to help you through.
 
This while situation is rediculous! I spoke with my father in law. I was upset and he knew it, but I have a right to be; and I was not out of control. He told me his daughter was supposed to tell me. She said he was supposed to tell me. They are all passive. They all want to blame someone else. They don't get it. I do understand that they are in a difficult situation, but some things are just logical. I've decided not to get a restraining order since I think it would really do more harm and actually might be what would trigger him. I have at least 3 neighbors who are aware and would respond in an instant if something happened.
I spIke with two pastors and a counselor today also, so everyone is in the loop whether my in-laws like it or not. But I'm still very angry and scared; and I hate feeling like I'm trapped in my apt. I hate fearing that he just might come knocking on my door. I mean he could break me like a twig if he got mad enough. He's threatened me before and they just want to pretend like he would never do anything. Im not so sure he wouldn't. He's thrown things, broken things, and punched a hole in the hospital wall when he got a letter I sent him. And this was just last week. I had several level headed and trustworthy people read my letter to make sure it wasn't malicious and was reasonable. They all said it was reasonable and even loving. For goodness sake, all I said was that I was willing to work it out as long as he would take the steps to take care of himself and get the help he needs 1) accountability, 2) takes his meds, 3) goes to counseling, and a few other things.

I know its easy for me to say God will protect u for I am not in ur shoes but I will pray for u remember Jacob thought his brother was gonna attack him next time they met because his brother was mad at him but he trusted and prayed to God and God protected him next time they met his brother ranned up n hugged him and apologize because with God anything is possible and he control z our hearts so in Jesus name trust in the Lord :) ill pray for u to

I agree with this statement...I have prayed too!
Maybe the councelors told him to take it slow...
And your a big step in his life.
You have told us that your up bringing was not stable one
and his sounds unstable too...
Two weak foundations together...with out God's timing,
The foundation will crumble.
Give yourselves time to grow in christ separately.
God is like the stone you build your life on....
Pray is like the glue that holds it together.
Keep on seeking His wisdom and understanding.
