As the children of God, we are not obligated to:
- discuss the precious gifts of our Father with those who approach us with rolling eyes and mocking tongues;
- serve as pawns in the social experiments of those who desire to test the intimidation skills they are learning in their graduate programs or private studies; and
- be doormats for those who are angry at the world and/or abuse others because of their own vulnerabilities.
(However, the Spirit within us does call us to pray passionately for them)
In love and wisdom, we say that we are children of the King and refuse to participate in such things.
There is a reason that Jesus humbled Himself, came into this filthy world and chose 12 hardworking, uneducated men to spread His message before spreading His loving arms and dying for all of us.
Let us walk as He walked, respond as He responds (still), and be lovingly wise in the presence of those who would trample the pearls God has given us, as well as our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
