In all the excitement over the election of a new Pope at the Vatican, it is also important to remember that the Anglican Communion (The Church of England and the Episcopal Church etc.), also has a new leader, Justin Welby.

Although pretty establishment in his school background (he attended the same school as Prince William), he appears to favour the plight of the marginalised and the poor, much like the new Pope, who has talked alot about the needs of those society leaves behind. I am genuinely excited at the thought of these two leaders partnering together to challenge the current inequality that exists in the world, between rich and poor, and pray it galvanises the rest of us to really take the love of Jesus to the rest of humanity. As it says in Ephesisans 4, God gave us leaders to help us develop leadership in our own lives, so that we can be ministers ourselves. (Ephesians 4:11-14)

It's so exciting...
