I see now the error of Jonah. Hmm.
My brother was installing a computer program on an operating system that wasn't built for installation of this type of program. And he had so much hope for it to work out. And then certain parts of the program worked, and we were one button away from using the program, and then an error!!! Those errors make you sick too. I jokingly said, ''hope deferred maketh sick.'' But this is so true. I just read it and it says:
Prov 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
WOW!! AMEN!! HALLELUJAH!!! WOW!!
So now, back to Jonah. When Nineveh was full of sin and evil, the Lord called Jonah to go to the nation and say what he told him. But Jonah ran away. But he did not run because he was afraid, but because he was bitter against them for the evil, and thought he might look like fool if God chose to have mercy. But the Lord corrected Jonah.
It is the same way with this installation. Nineveh was built slowly and gradually, into a very great city, what if God in his mercy, seeing as how long this nation was in the building destroy it in a day? Since the people repented they gave him even more reason to show mercy.
So Jonah sat under down and pouted. And a tree grew up over night to give him shelter the next day, but it soon whithered away and he got angry that the tree whithered away so soon.
You see, while the tree was up, WHICH HE DID NOT PLANT NOR WATER NOR RAISE, he took shelter in under it's branches and enjoyed the shade. But when the tree was destroyed, he had pity on the tree, WHICH HE HAD NOT PLANTED NOR WATERED NOR RAISED. So if he was so quick to have pity on the tree, WHICH HE HAD NOT PLANTED NOR WATERED NOR RAISED, he should have understood better that God is willing to spare a nation, WHICH HE HAD NOT PLANTED NOR WATERED NOR RAISED.
As for installation and Un-installation, the programs always take forever to install, but the un-installation is very easy and fast. Sometimes it is hours compared to seconds. So we ought to know that GOD IS THE HUSBANDMAN!! He is the planter of the nations and the rooter up. We should pray for mercy for people who GOD created and saw grow. We should be ready to show mercy also. Because WE don't give Life but the Lord does. Neither should we be ready to take life, nor see life taken FROM ANYONE!!
