Instead of scathing the others, made amends with the Creator:

  • “Jehovah has fulfilled His fury; He has poured out His fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations. The kings of the earth, and all the people of the world, would not have believed that the foe and the hater would go into Jerusalem's gates. For the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, shedding the blood of the just in her midst, they reeled blind in the streets; they are defiled with blood, so that not any can touch their clothes. They cried to them, Depart! Unclean! Depart, depart! Touch not! Indeed they fled and reeled; they said among the nations, They will not continue to live there.” (Lam 4.11-15).

Many times we blame loutish people for the maladies that are rolling in. At these moments, our propensity is to get dread and work around the clock until we sort out the predicament.

But even if the problems bear down on us, it’s important to underscore that, at first place, we need to come back to Jesus. Don’t try to sort out anything before praying and hear the voice of Jesus, especially because many of the hot potatoes are aftermath of our digression of Jesus’ will.

We come to terms with the world and feel settled in this new opportunity. Nonetheless, hang on the powers of this world only will finish in debacle and despondency.

It is better to answer Christ’s call:

  • “Come now, and let us reason together, says Jehovah; though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool.” (Isaiah 1.18).

If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1.19). If you will walk in His ways, and if you will keep His charge, then you shall also judge His house, and shall also keep His courts, and He will give you places to walk among these who stand by (Zechariah 3.7).

So, instead of chiding the whole world, let’s confess our sins to Jesus who is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and certainly all will seem beautiful, fragrant and warming around us. Have this excellent day in Christ Jesus.
