Hello...

What is this forum all about? Has anyone met another here? Who's the matchmaker?.... wait for it!!!!........
...Matchmaker Matchmaker make me a match, find me a find ,catch me a catch..... yah.... awesome song (Fiddler on the roof).

I guess I should introduce myself... My name is Nadav (Nah-dah-v) - It's Hebrew. I'm a jewish Believer living in Israel. I'm 22 years old and I've been a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) all of my life, but took it up to the next level only a year ago when I was baptized. If anyone would ask me how would I describe myself in the faith, I would answer by saying: I'm a Jew. Yeshua was a Jew. You know those bracelets that engrave: "What Would Jesus Do?" (WWJD)... Well, What did he do according to what we know? he did the Torah. He was the Torah wearing flesh. So, that's how I describe myself - A Torah abiding Jew that believes in Yeshua.. at least I'm trying... no one's perfect.

I have 2 other brothers. One is 25 and he's herding sheep in the Northern Israel. I'm the "sandwich" and my little brother is 19 currently serving in the military. My parents are divorced (Jan 2010). Life now is quieter now then before. My Dad is remarrying soon and I wish him the best of luck.... yea....

I'm currently still in my mandatory military service in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). I'm an F-16 senior flight line mechanic and armament in the IAF. My job is to insure the safety of the pilots of the aircraft is ready for flight in all aspects: tires, working mechanical parts, assembling and disassembling bombs, missiles, fuel tanks, systems check.... I work on the F-16i - also known as Sufa (storm). The F-16i is the Israeli improved/modified F-16D from Lockheed. My rank is First-Sergeant and I'm due to be honorably discharged in 3 months after a long and hard 3 year service.

What is it I want to do with my life? That's a good question. Eventually I want to go to College. For now, my plan is to fly to the US (I'm a also a US citizen) and work, make some money and begin with my life.
Afterwards... God only knows... Of course come back home, go to school, work.... the whole package.

Well, I think I've talked enough.. If anyone wishes to contact me... feel free to do so... Of course there is a $5 fee.... nah... just kidding... I'm "free" to meet/talk...

God Bless you all and safe keep you from all harm!

Welcome to CC, Nadav!

Well, this forum is for singles to discuss issues relating to, um, being single. Lol. I am not sure if anyone has met another person here, but hey, there's a first time for everything, right?

Thanks for sharing about yourself. Looks like your life is an open book with blank pages, once you have finished your military service. You mentioned going to college; any ideas on what you want to study?

I love Israel, and I hope to visit someday (soon). And, yeah...that $5...how about an I.O.U.? ;)

Ohh... well... I feel weird and stupid for opening my life to the world.... kinda like wrong time wrong place... anyway, what's done is done...

You asked what about College? I don't know what I want to study... I think I'm leaning more to Mechanical Engineering. I'm practicing it in the military
and I've studied Physics, Aerodynamics and some Electronics in High School.. so... maybe...
The military has given me so much but it's time I so much want out... I've done a lot... - training exercises, combat situations, isolated cases of bombing missions in the Gaza Strip. We did a lot during "Cast Led"... hundreds of bombs leaving base and coming back empty and later watching the results on TV...
I have experienced things that not many get to.. This is the life God has given me and I think him I'm still breathing!

Hi Nadav,

Welcome to the site! Its so good to hear you have some sort of goal and life plan happening. Im sorry to hear about your parent's divorce. That would be very sad . I lived in Jerusalem for only 3months, but it was awesome while I was there! It must be so scary for you guys to have enforced military years. Anyway, have fun on the site and get to know people in here! Cheers. :)

No need to feel weird about opening up about your life. It might have made more sense to do that in the Introductions forum, but this forum works too. Lol. I'm a "sandwich" too, with an older brother who is 28 and is now in school to be a paralegal, and a younger brother who is 20 and is currently in the process of searching for a job (any job). The only difference is that I'm an only girl, which has pros and cons. I got my degree in marketing, but after trying a sales job for almost a year, I realized that it wasn't for me. I tried then to get into teaching, but the economy caused that door to shut firmly in my face last year. I had been searching for a job ever since, and finally was hired in January. I am working in the Vision Center at a local Walmart, and soon will begin an apprenticeship to become licensed as an optician. Okay, I've spilled a bit about my life as well, lol. I'm sorry to hear about your parents, though.

My dad was in the U.S. military for 22 years. It allowed him to support our family, but a military career can be quite stressful at times, and there are so many other possibilities out there. It looks like you have some good ideas of what you'd like to study, though. I honestly had no idea, but went with business because it seemed to make sense - plenty of jobs out there (or so I thought). The year I finished college, they said that my graduating class had the best job prospects in many years. Ha. So much for that. Lol.

Anyway...my pillow is calling. I've had a very long day, and my head is pounding, probably due to a combination of getting out early and working out hard, and struggling to get my eye prescription sorted out (long story, but at least I work in a Vision Center - kind of ironic... I begin working there, and my eyes start going crazy on me). Yeah...sleep...

But, again, welcome to CC! :)
