Someone told me the other day that to take out we needed to make a deposit first because what we would we get if we havent invested, what would we get from something that is empty because we havent filled it yet.

And i was thinking about love, we know Jesus and he put enough love in us that we are able to take out that and give it to other ppl with mercy, help and other things that already Jesus did for us.
But i was thinking about others that dont know God like atheists for example and i was thinking that we maybe need to give them that deposit of love to be able to ask love from them.

Whats your opinion about it?

Are there versicles in bible about this ?

or maybe im thinking too much ;)

You mean a verse like this?

Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Yes, Liz. Investing is about getting more than what you put in. I once heard a sermon by a famous pastor regarding weeds..

He said he used to live in this house next to a vacant lot which at first was a nice grassy lot with some pretty, wild flowers growing in it and the owner of the lot never did anything to maintain it so weeds started growing there and they grew very tall and wild and soon the lot became quite an eyesore, but one day a crew came in and tore out all the weeds and planted new flowers so the lot was nice again, but soon enough the weeds would be back even though no one planted them there because no one bothered to maintain the plot.

He was saying that if we don't plant the right seed into a young person's heart and mind, and spend a little time to nurture it, "weeds" will start growing there even if we don't plant them there ourselves. Then he compared weeds with getting into drugs and alcohol or stealing, or joining gangs.. Then he mentioned how tiny a mustard seed was and how all that we need to do is plant a tiny mustard seed of hope and vision into a young person's mind to keep the weeds from taking over.

The little mustard seed of love and a profession of our faith is all that we have to 'invest' in someone in order for the desire for salvation to grow in that person.

Glad you liked my post Liz :) I forgot to include the part where the weeds choked off the pretty flowers and took over the lot, and how the weeds also refer to new-age thinking and false teachings.
