There are many that think God is love. This is the only aspect of His Character they look at and
take comfort in. Though this is a false comfort that will fail them, they will not look at
the other characters of God.

God destroyed the entire civilizations of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Is this love?

God sent plagues upon entire civilizations.

Is this love?

God punished Israel after He said He loved them and that they are His Chosen People by sending
them into 70 years of captivity.

Is this love?

God caused His Chosen People to wonder the wilderness for 40 years just so some of His Chosen
People would die.

Is this love?

God killed one of His Children for simply touching The Ark of The Covenant.

Is this love?

God forbid Abraham to enter the Promised Land due to one act of disobedience after a life time
of faithful service.

Is this love?

God killed 185,000 people in just one night.

Is this love?

God sent His Son to be abused, beaten and crucified.

Is this love?



Though many would overlook it, the Bible has immense proof that God is a murder, tortures entire
civilization, kills those He loves, by our standards enforces unjust punishment for a single act
of disobedience, is a neglectful parent and a child abuser.

If any person had done these things, many would want justice. Can anyone force God to submit to
man's justice?

Was God wrong to kill tens of thousands who did not know Him so they went straight to hell?

Is there anyone that can stand up and punish God?

There is nothing to be afraid of. He won't hurt you. After all, He is a God of love.

Or is He?

God is love to His Children that choose to follow Him. But God is a vengeful God destroying
anyone and anything that is not His.

You can tell God He is wrong. You can not approve of what He does. But is He wrong?

The God of love will judge anyone thinking He is the God of love as something to be destroyed
if they have not accepted Christ His Son as their Saviour. God isn't interested in what we
think. God only cares about what we do and how it follows His Laws.

Many think that God won't judge them just because in their own eyes you are a good person. But
God has made it clear that there is no one good on the face of the earth. We can only be made
"good" by His Grace. There is no other way than God's Way and all others lead to death.

Is God Love?

Yes. But His love for you will not protect you when you stand before Him to be judged.

If God spared not His Own Son and had Christ nailed to a cross after being beaten and tortured
for hours when He had the power to stop it, why would He spare you? You are not His Son.

Today is your day to decide.

Will you choose God and His Loving Kindness or remain a self appointed good person full of
pride that God hates?
 
If God just sat back and let Sodom (evil) take over we wouldn't be here today.

If God didn't punish His children hundreds of years ago they would have said whats the point lets be like everyone else and they wouldn't exist anymore as a people.

If God was a pushover Satan would have killed off the human race by now. Mankind would have gladly cooperated.

What about the millions of christians torchered and murdered by other so called christians and Jesus on the cross and every evil thing to ever happen to a blood bought man and woman of God, all just so the message of salvation can reach you. thats love.

You also might not like the culling of deer but in order to keep them healthy some have to be sacrificed.

We are not God.

but he saved Lot and his family

this people made his people work very hard; even some unto death, and if they would of let them go; it would not have happen

yes, because he would not let them go into the promise land, to defile it with disbelife. after all he had done for them.... he did not even let their shoes or clothes grow old. he saw no matter what he do they will just defy him.

the Ark of the covenant was God; the man killed himself. he knew better; it's just like putting your finger in an electric socket.. was it the socket or you putting your finger in it? that killed.

it was not Abraham it was Moses, and he disobeyed God more than once. but God did not let him die without seeing the land,, nor did he die as others, for God took him.

OOOOH Yes this is love, because not only did the son prosper from this we all have. in more than a hundred ways. Praise God, John 3:16.. he did it because of his love.

as we all know nothing God does is wrong, and out of his wrath, he punishes, out of his love he disapline,
 
Rev. 3:19...As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Job 5:17...Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty

Proverb 3:11-12...My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction 12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Hebrews 12:5...And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him
Hebrews 12:6-8...For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Isahia 57:1...The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

The Word of God speak for itself..... just so we all know why God punish us.... it's all about his love.
I agree with the other things you said.

Praise be to God who in all his ways he show righteous judgement, and no man can correct.
 
Is God Love? Yes, I know his love and in that is all I need to know. Who are we to think that we know better than God what Love is. He who created all that has been, is and will be. Can you make the wind, the rain, the oceans. Only God our Father created these and all things. He has counted every star, every grain of sand and provided for the needs of every living thing. How can we even think we can know what love is. The love we know is of the world. The Love of God is far greater. It is perfect. I will trust in the love of Our Lord God.

God is Love. We are to fear Him for what He will do if we do not obey His words. God sent His son to die for us if that ain't love then I don't know what is. But if we do not obey Him then we will be thrown in hell with satan. He is a jealous God and we are to have no other gods before Him. He has different characters but it is His love that brought us to Him or Him to us.
