He created us and we disobeyed Him,
He took us out of bondage through
He made
miracles and plagues,
and we doubted and rejected Him
40 years in the wilderness
He made unto us prophets
and judges and kings,
but we killed them
persecuted them
and stoned them and for
the honest kings
they disobeyed God
and yet God still has mercy
on us and calls us His children
if we humble ourselves and ask
for forgiveness.
When that didn't seem to be enough
God sent His Son,
an extension of Himself,
and Jesus died as the final sacrifice
for our sins and to heal our
sicknesses and infirmaties.
While we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us,
for by the disobedience of one
all became sinners
yet all it took was the obedience
of One and many were made righteous
In as much as God is love
It should be in our nature to love,
For if one does not know how to love
He cannot know God.
It is written love the lord with all
of thine heart , all of thy mind
and all of thy Spirit,
Secondly, love they neighbor as thyself.
Love even your enemies,
But don't do evil.
