God is the Father in the sense that he is the origin of all living, but it has nothing to do with gender. The Father is the head honcho; "The head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God" (1 Corinthians 11:3).

God is not a gender, he just created us male and female. There will be no sex in heaven, so no need for male or female. No record of any angel being female, they always appeared as young men. I guess spiritual beings are gender neutral, but God is called Father as HE is the figure head of all that is.
Indeed, we saints are all considered sons of God for inheritance purposes although we don't know if some traits will carry over to our spiritual selves. It matters not, as sex will not be thought of like when in our flesh.

Gal. 3:28,29 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." :)

The scriptures clearly state that God is masculine. This isn't even up for debate.

Gal. 3:28,29 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
This passage should not be misapplied. All are children of God by grace through faith through the New Birth. But gender roles in the home and the the church remain distinct. And God is not neuter because of what is written here.
