Would it be possible to start a forum were instead of atheist being banned complelty they could just be moved to an locked in that forum.. That way members who didn't want to deal with there negative post wouldn't have to deal with it, but people with the patience to deal with them could keep trying to reach them..... Are greastest call as christians after all is to try an reach the lost souls.....I can understand why you wouldn't want them running free all over the site but its kind of dissapointing when you feel like you can reach someone but then they get banned and you have no way to contact them..... And just to be clear I'm not questioning any admins decision to banned someone I get they where banned for a good reason I'm just wondering if there's a way to solve the problem by keeping them away from others while still allowing a way for those of us who want to still talk to them to be able to.

The site owner will not create any section catering specifically to non-Christians. While all are welcome here, this is first and foremost a fellowship site. Creating a place for atheists to gather and chat seems counter-productive.
It would also encourage atheists to come here for debate, and this is not a debate site.

I agree it would defeat the purpose of the site, after all it's named Christian chat, not athiest chat. lol

I didn't mean for it to be a place where they can just come an chat it up an throw an online atheist party, but a place where we can go to minister to them with out them being a nuisance to the other site members.... And if ministering to unbelievers defeats the purpose of this site than that defeats the purpose of it being a christian site and then would just be called chat.com

They would just continue their banned activity in another forum here that lets them behave just as badly.
Some users need to be banned because you don't want to open up your fellowship to heretics because they would destroy the faith.

The other issue is that atheists are not all neutral:

New Atheism is a social and political movement that began in the early 2000s in favour of atheism and secularism promoted by a collection of modern atheist writers who have advocated the view that "religion should not simply be tolerated but should be countered, criticized, and exposed by rational argument wherever its influence arises".[SUP][1][/SUP]

That means that you and I would constantly be under attack.

Good day.

Well, it would be a place where they are isolated and can gather together. So, in a way, it is creating a spot for them to chat. Regardless if you allow Christians to go in there as well, it's still a place where they can gather.
And why stop at athiests? What about other religions as well?
And since the posts here are open to the public and can show up in google searches, the threads they would start would create a larger pool of athiests and non-Christians coming here because they would see there was a place for them specifically.
Because the site isn't a debate site, making choices to encourage more athiests to gather in a specific place, just to argue against Christians, seems counterproductive, still.
I get what you're saying, but what we make and hope it will be is not usually the way things play out in real life. We have to consider how things are, not how they should be.
Not to mention it would create more work for our volunteer mods and admins.

I understand why they would need to be banned however limiting them to one forum would solve the same problem it would keep them from spreading there message all over the site and only the people who wanted to deal with them would have to... It would also help separate the ones who only want to cause problems from the ones who may actually be crying out for help because they would probaly leave the site on there own if they were locked in one place and couldn't go cause problems.

I don't want to come off as argumentative but you keep saying this isn't a debate site however I see debates on here all the time and your right the forum could turn into something it's not ment to be and if it did I would assume it could be closed but we wouldn't know unless we tried.... Far as the more work it would cause well I'd personally voulteer to help keep an eye on that forum myself to maybe lesson some of the extra work for them might be others here who wouldn't mind helping out with it to.

Sometimes users cannot see the forest from the trees.
Sometimes every question doesn't deserve an answer.
One of the things I cannot defeat is pride. If a user is prideful, I can't make him understand that he or she is wrong because what they have to do is come to see themselves defeated and give up.
One of the things I have perceived on this site is that if you have a user that hasn't learned something, how do I communicate it to them when they refuse to read or have poor comprehension skills?

How do you make the carnal mind receive the things of God?

Another assumption I am making is that people don't want to read which is why I could waste my time writing more than half a page to people.

1 Corinthians 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

For it to work, you need more people versed in the Bible and we need to huddle and support one another which has never happened much in my lifetime as a Christian. I can't get support online for what I say.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

One of the things I've learned is Apologetics is useless because people are saying "no" to Jesus because they hate the light and love darkness instead of the light. In other words, I could show them evidence and they will throw it in the trash.

I get what your saying, it is very hard to reach people who don't want to be reached but I still like to try.. I find a lot of time the problem is that we just throw are points at each other they say whatever anti christian thing there gonna say and we come back with a your Wrong God is good or some scripture at them which is an endless cycle but I've also found if I can talk to them long enough I can usually find some kind of common ground and then I can break the cycle I can actually get into a conversation with them instead of just a debate and show them there's more to christians than just the judgemental scripture throwing hypocrites they think we are which makes them a little more susceptible to listening. So even if they don't change there mind and they move on at least at that point I feel like I've planted a seed that may later grow....... I also get what you saying about support everyone on here has there own opinion and its hard to get people to just support one persons post instead of making there own I'm guilty of that myself.

Let's use some COMMON SENSE..shall we? Atheists, agnostics, cultists, and others do not have issues within their own ranks. They are of the same cloth, the same agenda, the same 'birds of a feather flocking together". What they don't have is JESUS in common with each other. "CHRISTIANS" become their instant target. "Christians would provide them with a challenge. They cannot get that challenge when atheists debate with atheists. What would they argue about? Think about it. "Uh, I am a better atheist than you because...." or "You better vote for _______ as the next President because he is against conservative republican Christians!". In the old AOL days, there were Atheist chatrooms. As a CHRISTIAN, I would be so entertained just by visiting under "GUEST" and watching their discussions. It was totally hilarious and totally SICK. What I discovered was: ATHEISTS are those peoples who's chosen lifestyle conflicts with GOD's intentions for them, period. They refuse to accept GOD's love because they want to continue in their cushy fearless "DO as I want to do" freedoms they think they deserve. Was any 'CHRISTIAN" today automatically born a holy spirit filled, GOD BELIEVING, BIBLE reading person? NO!!!!!! A human had to make a decision once the Holy Spirit pricked their minds. Is there a GOD that loves me enough to send His SON for my sake..or do I continue to live my life as I wish and rot in a grave as payback? JESUS says 'Let the dead bury the dead" and yet, HE also claims "If the tree does not bear fruit, it will be cut down and thrown in the fire". You and I are not the ones to go around burying the dead nor casting people into the fire. Those who do not want atheists aboard a forum that is viewed by CHRISTIANS are no different than those who do not know JESUS offering up a new healthy diet recipe. We need those atheists as future brothers/sisters in CHRIST as much as they need a brother/sister in CHRIST To show them the true WAY. Atheists are not known to be sociable CHURCH attenders, always getting BIBLICAL Truths available to them. Where else will they see Scripture and actually chat with someone who has the answers they need? Atheists do not gather spiritual strength from each other, but they can be "seeded" and sprinkled with a few drops of Living Water while they are online. Ours is to plant, seed, pray, water and share JESUS because we are ROOTED. Theirs is to receive our testimonies, witness, love and reflections of JESUS so that they can make a future choice. Otherwise, they cannot 'blame" Christians for NOT caring.
