Is it lawful to marry after divorce? i got asked that i couldn’t answer

There really isn't one right answer. It may be okay if an unbelieving spouse wants to leave and initiates the divorce; or, if the reason for the divorce is marital unfaithfulness. There's quite a bit in the New Testament about marriage and divorce. You might just need to look up all the scriptures and listen to the Lord's guidance.

Was not ever intended that way to divorce. yet it is this way
The Bible teaches that God's intention is for marriage to be a permanent, lifelong union. However, divorce is permitted in the Bible, primarily in cases of sexual immorality (adultery). A related exception is abandonment by an unbelieving spouse, allowing the believer to separate. While Moses permitted divorce due to the "hardness of human hearts," Jesus clarified that this was a concession, not God's original design for marriage.

And truthfully, marriage is truthfully between God and you

True marriage, is God and you. tell me was/is Jesus married to Father or not? Thank you, as you will see if you stay in belief you by Father and Son are married too in Father's Spirit and Truth, that began at your decision to believe God over self and others as well Phil 3

Luk 16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

Mat 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

1Co 7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
1Co 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

There is only 2 cases for a person to remarry legally according to God's operation.

For the person cheating on their spouse for then they broke the covenant between them of being one flesh so they can remarry.

And if the person dies for then the covenant is no longer in affect.

If for any other reason then they must remain unmarried for the covenant is not broken just because they cannot get along or one of them turns out crazy and harmful.

I suppose it is a lesson to be learned get to know the person better, or wait until both of you are mature and not wishy washy.

But the problem with getting to know each better in the presence of each other with no negative input from anyone else is nobody will tell you their faults when they first start hanging out before getting married.

Because they are on their best behavior when they first get to know each other for if not a lot of people would not get together.

The faults do not come until after they are married which they come bursting forth like water from a weakened dam for they cannot hold it back for it is part of the person's personality.

And the person will think why didn't you give me a heads up that you might be prone to flirting with other people, hitting me, being abusive, hogging up the finances, and the other things that would suck in marriage.

What if they get a divorce and it is not for the reason of adultery and the person dies can they remarry legally.

Or can they not remarry for they illegally divorced so that option is not on the table.

One thing I do know is a lot of people that claim Christianity get a divorce and it is not for adultery and sometimes are married 3 times.

Many people thinking they are alright in their Christian walk but committing adultery around the globe.

1Co 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1Co 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Some people will say that we can't abstain from sin because we are not perfect so them divorcing without it being adultery does not matter.

But the Bible says adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of God.

There is under Law, Under a curse, being in first birth of flesh and blood
Not born new by God yet in belief to God's Son for them as risen. to be born new, born again.
Then there is the fulfillment of Law, done first by Son at the cross in his resurrection for us to be new, seen as if never sinned from Dady's, PaPa's, Father's sight to appreciate and not use to get away with harming any others ever again. That is my response, I trust God to perfect in me what I know of me, "I" can't and never have been perfect. Whenever I tried over and over again, "I" found me making myself worse that was before I ever got put under Law, it put me in the desire to be better and saw me sometimes as better, then not better, me comparing me to others. How ludicrous to me now
I see God made me new in risen Son given me to do as am made new by God for me and y'all too, if since I or anyone believes God too, in thanksgiving and praise and has settled this within themselves. Who knows, I do not, yet Father does, thank you Daddy, PaPa, Father
And one will know and not be able to explain it in words, I try and can't. Only Father can and does. Thanking Father and Son as Won for me and everyone else too

Divorce is against God's will. Unhappy marriage is against God's will. The sin of divorce occurs before a legal divorce is obtained.
Serial marriage is against God's will. Fornication is against God's will--and castration is unnecessary to control sexual desire.
None of these sins are unforgiveable, but we should not cheapen grace.

A life-long happy marriage that is a spiritual union of soulmates IS God's will and a rich blessing!

Not all of us were learned when we may have gotten a divorce and I'm 100% it's not the unpardonable sin. God understands us and knows our hearts. And we're not under 'the law' but under His mercy and grace, many people even well-known Pastors, like John Hagee, have gotten remarried.

the marriage subject is amongst 3 others that rank as the most understand subjects. they are: remarriage, tithing, women pastorship & speaking in tongues. the Bible clearly states that spousal death & unfaithfulness are reasons to get married again. however, adrain rogers, 1 of the best modern day preacher-teachers, says he believes God will enter a new covenant in marriage & the God will honor the new marriage. God definitely knew way before us that divorces would abound.

Love covers all sins.

But I say unto you, whoever looks at a woman with lust has commited adultery with her in his heart.
