Is Judging Others Wrong

On judging, I thought we were supposed to judge each other, not in condemnation, but a godly judging, to keep each of us in check, at least that's what I was told by a church leader, not sure if it's biblical or not, so please correct me if I'm wrong
True that believers must judge each other for the purpose of sharpening each other spiritually and not for the purpose of condemning.

James 10:24 (KJV)
And let us consider one anothertoprovoke unto loveand to goodworks:

Notice the word "provoke."
Also, notice the purpose of the provoking: unto love and to good works

Therefore this provoking is biblical and entirely different from condemning.

Condemning is what the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees did to the woman caught in adultery in John 8.
