Is the church you sometimes attend in its official name listed in Mead's "Handbook of Denominations in the United States of America"?
Mead's book is one of the best sources for MOST Christian groups (churches, fellowships, denominations, creeds).
Or is your belief a church that has only a few hundred members, or is local.
I believe the church that I sometimes attend is part of the larger Russian Orthodox Church. But here in America, I believe the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia maybe only has about 100,000 or 200,000 members at most. It's not as large as the Orthodox Church in America, which also comes from the Russian Orthodox Church.
I used to belong to the Lutheran Church of America and then the Evangelical Lutheran Church America which began only in 1978 AD. It's got millions of members, I think. I used to belong to the Assemblies of God, which is possibly the largest Pentecostal denomination in the USA.
I have a respect and love for all Trinitarian churches. I don't like any non-Trinitarian churches. But I like to learn about all kinds of beliefs, even strange ones like Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons.
Everyone has a constitutional ability and right here in the USA to believe as one will.
God bless America.
So, if you want to share whether or not your congregation 's denomination is listed in Mead's book, please write in here and let us know.
There is nothing necessarily wrong at all with small churches whose members number less than 100,000 members.
