as of last night i read that about 1500 reservists were called up. this afternoon the OK was given for 'up to 40k' to be called up.
besides rocket attacks from Gaza, there is this:
JERUSALEM (JTA) — Five Hamas operatives who infiltrated Israel by sea were killed in a gunfight with soldiers at an army base near the Gaza border, the Israeli military said.
An Israeli soldier was lightly wounded in the crossfire at the Zikim base on Tuesday evening. The attackers, who Hamas identified as members of its naval commando unit, reportedly landed on the nearby Zikim beach.
Area residents were asked to stay in their homes during the incident.
The infiltration came amid rocket fire from Gaza on southern and central Israel and on the first day of Israel’s Operation Protective Edge in Gaza.
Meanwhile, an abandoned parachute was found near the Yad Mordechai Kibbutz near Ashkelon. Israeli soldiers are combing the area looking for the parachutist, according to reports.

Yeah I read about this. And as far as I am concerned, Israel needs to pound these imbeciles into a pulp. They will take whatever action is necessary to keep their people safe and their border secure, and who can blame them. When you have enemies in every direction you turn to, being proactive to maintain peace and stability for your nation can't be helped. And if that means calling up 40k reservists to deal with the problem then so be it. It's not as if Israel hasn't tried to reach a sensible agreement with these morons before in the past.
There is no compromise. Their neighbors all want Israel to be wiped from existence. How do you negotiate and deal with people who want to exterminate you?
You can't reason with unreasonable people. Their agenda is an evil mission from the gate. And that's why anyone who is willing to take up Arms against Israel and stand against God's chosen people, needs to be cut down where they stand.

haha. This is Israel's time. That's all there is to it, plain and simple. In 1967 Israel fought the combined forces of Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan. It's called the Six-Day War, because it took Israel six days to beat 4 nations into submission. (which by the way those 4 nations were supported by COUNTLESS others during the war)
47 years later, nothing much has really changed. The terrorist organizations that wish harm to Israel are still the same spineless cowards they've always been. And they can't possibly hope to prevail.

Honestly I hate war and think it's evil, however, I think Israel and it's citizens are tired of random rockets flying into their cities in the middle of the night once a month. The US needs to stay out of Israel's business this time and let Israel mow Gaza over.

I have lived the vast part of my life in part of the UK where the terrorists, both republician and loyalist dictate who people vote for, if you didn't vote for the candidate they told you to vote for, you ended up with some kind of serious injury or simply dead!

Hey wait that just reminded me !!!,,,back when the Mayan calender was running out we told several people that were going into their bunkers we would email them when it was safe to come out,,,"did any of you all email them,,I forgot"???
No, but I received an 'All clear'' email.
lol,it does make me wonder though. If they went in a bunker before say 2005 most chances are that they still had a land line,so they don't have any wireless device's(they were not popular yet). They still have a old type t.v.(hd was still in the works) so when the analog channels went off air and hd came on they lost all their channels. So then they watched every movie(vhs) they had,then listened to all their music(cassette tapes) and then eventually the mold got to them and without a tape cleaner they just stopped playing.
So they've sitting in there and one by one the media(contact with the outside) went down first the cell phones came out and so their land line went dead(was before debit e-pay),,then the t.v.. So they might still be sitting down there thinking "wow it happened,the phones are dead,the t.v. is just showing the mosquito races,how ling do I stay here till it's safe to come out?",,lol
NO doubt and they are cowards to place their missiles and launchers where women and children are!
