An Israeli human rights organization, Gisha, sued in Israeli courts to force the release of a planning document for ‘putting the Palestinians on a diet’ without risking the bad press of mass starvation, and the courts concurred. The document, produced by the Israeli army, appears to be a calculation of how to make sure, despite the Israeli blockade, that Palestinians got an average of 2279 calories a day, the basic need. But by planning on limiting the calories in that way, the Israeli military was actually plotting to keep Palestinians in Gaza (half of them children) permanently on the brink of malnutrition, what health professionals call “food insecurity”.

Creepy Israeli Planning for Palestinian Food Insecurity in Gaza Revealed | Informed Comment

An example of the oppression in the lead up to the latest set of war crimes from the Zionists.

Yes if only Hamas would stop shooting rockets I hear people say, the killings would stop. Yes then Israel would go back to slowly starving the Palestinians out of sight of the international community.

The Zionist regime slowly wears down their victim until the Palestinians have had enough and give the Zionists another trigger for a wave of killings.

Again I find myself having to repeat this until it gets into your heads.

"The Christians in the west, most of them, they don't know the realities here. They don't know who is occupying who, who is oppressing who, who is confiscating whose land, who is building walls to try and separate people from one another," Alex Awad, who also pastors East Jerusalem Church, told The Christian Post.
"In the United States and much of Europe people — they just don't understand the realities on the ground," he added.

Many Christians like myself do know the truth, that muslims like youself wish to see Israel turned to rubble and every Jews dead or driven into the sea and you will not stop until that happens.

The occupied land is the whole of Israel, nothing less than that. You may fool many people but you can not fool everyone.

Alex Awad is just a scared puppet of Hamas, if he did not say those things he would be dead by now.

Palestinian Christian: Western Christians Don't Understand Gaza/Israeli Conflict
the standard recommendation for calorie intake is 1,800 to 2,400 calories per day for women and 2,200 to 3,000 calories for men...depending on the individual's activity level...the percent daily values on american food labels are based on an 'average' diet of 2,000 calories per day...

so a proposal to ensure a 2,279 calorie per day diet is hardly a criminal attempt at starvation...exaggerate much?

and let's not forget that the gaza blockade did not even exist until 2007 when the internationally listed terrorist organization known as hamas illegally took over the gaza strip and seized government institutions there...effectively seceding from the palestinian authority which is internationally recognized as the sole legitimate government of the palestinian people... before all that happened there was no blockade...as with most palestinian grievances the blockade is a self inflicted punishment...

additionally the israeli government has previously stated that their sole condition for lifting the blockade is that hamas must simply recognize israel's right to exist...something they could do almost immediately yet have refused to do for years...

and furthermore let's not forget that israel is not the only country blockading the gaza strip...egypt has maintained a blockade along its gaza border with nearly equal diligence...yet i don't see any 'anti egyptianists' coming out of the woodwork all the time...

finally it remains to be said that it is not the case that christians in the west 'don't understand the realities'...we do... the truth is that most of the palestinian 'christians' who think they can win our allegiance simply by saying 'lord lord' just don't understand the -morality- of the issue...because they have been indoctrinated and propagandized into a culture in which senseless violence is acceptable and even commendable...

This shows the extent of your closed mind on this issue. Christianpost does a good job of exposing the terrible things that happen to some Christians around the world in war zones. Suddenly it will drop the ball on this one and not do a story from an unnamed source or the general story on what is happening to Christians in Gaza.

Alex Awad is just a scared puppet of Hamas, if he did not say those things he would be dead by now.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.

Do no fret people. These are all birthpangs of the things to come.

Every day we are another day closer to being with our Lord.

All knees shall bow, all tongues shall confess.

I believe Egypt has acted terribly in this situation as well. Muslims have the leaders they deserve because they are acting badly. You just need to read Christianpost to see that. It has all been prophesied.

You have a poor opinion of your brothers and sisters in Gaza if you think they have no understanding of what is going on. I think it is the actually 180 degrees around and people in the West are indoctrinated and lead by the nose by controlled media campaigns. I appreciated your considered comments on this.

NO ball has been dropped Drett, Christians are not being persecuted by Israel, religious freedom is one of the things which democratic Israel brings to its population, Arabs and Muslims have more freedom in Israel than they do in countries like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. the war is against HAMAS, Israel is not delibertly targeting Palestinians or Christians or any other ethnic or religious minority, unlike ISIS who have driven hundreds of thousands of people from their homes and cut the heads off of children. That is where you fail in your argument.

Drett, When I say that Alex Awad is saying those things to protect his life and those of his church, I am serious. Within West Bank and Gaza, Christians are still persecuted and under threat of muslims. Open Doors is a Christian organisation which deals with helping persecuted christians around the world. Here is thier listing regarding Gaza and West Bank.

Christian Persecution in Palestinian Territories - Open Doors UK & Ireland[h=1]Palestinian Territories[/h] Leader: President Mahmoud Abbas
Population: 4.5 million (40,000 Christians)
Main Religion: Islam
Government: Interim administration
World Watch List Rank: 34
Source of Persecution: Islamic extremism
Anti-Christian violence has increased, mostly caused by Islamic extremists, although Muslim-background believers face pressure from family, too. The authorities fail to uphold the rights of individual Christians, causing some to flee to safer areas. In Gaza, Christians are enticed into becoming Muslims, especially during Ramadan, with the offers of jobs, houses, wives and diplomas. Sometimes the approach is more violent. A Greek Orthodox monastery in Bethany, West Bank, was the repeated target of attacks, forcing the nuns to ask President Abbas to intervene.
[h=2]Please Pray:[/h]
  • That churches will support vulnerable Muslim-background believers
  • For long-lasting relationships to be built through the reconciliation ministry, Musalaha, which brings together Palestinian and Messianic believers
  • For students at the Bethlehem Bible College preparing for Christian ministry and leadership.
[h=2]PERSECUTION DYNAMICS[/h]The dynamics of Christian persecution in the Palestinian Territories are complex. Christians are squeezed in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, their ethnicity entailing many restrictions from the Israeli side and their religion putting them in a minority position within the Palestinian community.

The territories are effectively under different governments at present. The West Bank's ruling Fatah party is formally based on secular principles and Christians enjoy several rights. In Gaza, on the other hand, Palestinian Basic Law - which functions as a temporary constitution - states that the official religion is Islam and Sharia is the main source of legislation.

Christians are largely tolerated by Islamist Hamas, but the rights of Christians are neither upheld nor protected and Christians face threats from Islamic extremist vigilant groups. This, combined with the hopeless economic and political situation, continues to force Christians to leave.

In the end it is your understanding of the plight of the Christians in Gaza versus the Christianpost and the pastor of East Jerusalem understanding.

Though not related to this thread, concerning ISIS etc. It is a pity the qualified Islamic scholars views are not considered newsworthy by the mainstream media.

The plight of Christians is very clear, they are harrased by Hamas and other Islamic vigilantes. Do you deny that Christians in Gaza and West Bank are persecuted by Hamas and Muslims? I think that paying lip service to Hamas to save his skin is more likely the truth. You totally avoid answering all the points I make instead you just repeat yourself.
