to note how some people present their thread and/or chat topics on CC. Certain beliefs are stated with love and good intentions, while others are harsh and filled with condemnation. I am finding that CC is not as friendly a place as I had originally found it to be. That's disappointing.

I can see your point. However, I think what has surprised me the most is the variety. Even self-professing non-Christians take part here and I think that is wonderful. Some of my non-Christian friends are taken aback when I welcome their questions. They feel like questioning and argument have no part in faith. I believe they do. Yes, it is unfortunate when discussion leads to anger and judgment. But one can sift through the posts, right? to choose which to read and which not to.

God bless.

Heh heh. CC is rather tame compared to other sites I've been on. The overall atmosphere seems rather kind and inviting to me.

Peace be to you
People are teaching without revelation.Excited about the word they try helping others but have no idea of the depth.I dont mind the people trying to help and love being passed,We are to learn at home till we have understanding.

Hearsay is not the way of the true church.God reveals the meaning to us or scripture would not be fulfilled. If someone adds there interpretation they mess up the word and whine spills all over

We are to preach it, not add to it.My father workith and i work.
But God givith the increase.

an example;eziek;
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

People could think god is gunna break the guys arms so he cant hold his sword.

However! thats not what it means, that meaning has no depth to it.

We are to seek God's word. The old testament is the depth to the new testament.

People on here have not read the whole bible and it shows in there understanding.I dont know who has bewitched some of you into not reading the word but i suggest you start.

Watching a child learn how to pray. There are no words to explain how precious.

We have to Empty what we think we know and let God show us his plan.
Are peace is understanding Gods plan and to know him.I fear some of you have already gone astray. It would break my heart to see you die.

Love a friend in God

Our love for God has to superceed anything or anyone, the first commandment is to love God with all we have, then ( once we have that down ) then we are to love one another even as we love ourself. God has to come first. I knew a man once, Danny, that you could say anything you wanted about him, you could put him down, critise him in the worst way. He would just laugh it off and still be friends with those that would do him harm. But one night He said something about his Wife, and some one joking said something else about her, I thought we were going to have to drag Danny off of the guy. this is the way it should be with our Love for God. If we have Love, we should have compassion, respect, does one truly love their wife/husband if they are constantly putting them down or finding fault with them, belittling them. well If that's love, why love? our compassion for God and His Word should go beyond compassion and be a zeal. Psalm 119 deals with the Word of God and it says: Ps 119:139My ZEAL hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.
This verse was quoted when Jesus whipped the money changers out of the Temple of God:
Ps 69:9For the ZEAL of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

Mt 12:25
And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:Mt 12:26And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?Mt 12:27And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.Mt 12:28But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.Mt 12:29Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.Mt 12:30He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

now I am not trying to get people to like me, with this post, I am just trying to get you to see how we are to love God and His Word. His Word is not just another book that can teach us how to live, It is the Word of God. Breathed from God Himself, people have died( foxes Book of Martyrs) killed( just as the jews had Jesus killed ) by the Catholic church itself. so That I can stand up and Preach His Word, in our language. Ok i know we are to love another also and He also said to love our enemies. But if you attack God, or His Word you are not mine enemy, but rather a enemy of God, He that is not with me is against me. Let me give one more thought on this. there is another lie that came straight from hell that us Christians have accepted as true. Many people will say well, we just have to learn to agree to disagree. one of satans tools that goes against the very Word of God has been adopted by the Children of God themselves, for the Word of God says :
1co 12:25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

SCHISM, n. sizm. [L. schisma; Gr. to divide, L. scindo.]
1. In a general sense, division or separation; but appropriately, a division or separation in a church or denomination of christians, occasioned by diversity of opinions; breach of unity among people of the same religious faith.
- Set bounds to our passions by reason, to our errors by truth, and to our schisms by charity.
In Scripture, the word seems to denote a breach of charity, rather than a difference of doctrine.
2. Separation; division among tribes or classes of people.
I know it may be hard for some to understand this, but let me remind you, it is not about us, but our life becomes His life, It is all about God, and if I didn't love God first Then love you through Christ, then I wouldn't care how you thought or lived. If you don't Put God first over everything else as He did for you When He suffered and died for you. then how can say that we love Him

Thaddeus, you don't have to worry about being liked. There is no chance of that. You need not worry about being respected for your erudition, either.

Protestant history is similar to their "exegesis" [using the term loosely]. It is based on myths. The Catholic Church, we here have been told, had burned copies of the Bible. Whereas, in actuality the Church guarded the Bible, defined its canon, and burned and forbade reading of editions that were inaccurate, heretical translations. Bibles such as Tyndale's translation had footnotes attacking the Church and the pope. The Church produced translations into vernacular languages were made years before the "Reformation". The Gospels had been translated into Anglo-Saxon long before the English language was formed.

Any impartial, objective person, who did even a small amount of research would quickly conclude that the famous Book of Martyrs, written by John Foxe, a sixteenth-century apostate Catholic, was historically inaccurate. Many of the "martyrs" in the reign of Mary Tudor were unorthodox and would have been burned in the reign of Protestant Queen Elizabeth. Indeed, Foxe supported a regime that tortured and killed Catholics who simply wanted to live in the faith of their ancestors. He also supported a regime that burned Evangelical Christians such as Baptists! It was Protestant Christians who had persecuted the Puritan Pilgrim Fathers of seventeenth-century England, and that group in turn, on settling in America, had persecuted fellow Bible believers!

Contrary to what some protestants claim, Catholics do not believe in continuing revelation, but instead have always taught that public revelation ceased with the apostles and that the faith had been once delivered to the saints. Ironically, it is the heresies of Faith Alone, Eternal Security, Sola Scriptura and Forensic Imputation, which make for new "doctrine", new "revelation". It is the duty of the Church as the pillar and foundation of the truth (1 Tim. 3:15) to interpret and discern that original deposit laid down by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. The Catholic Church had not invented transubstantiation in the thirteenth century any more than it had invented the Trinity in the fourth. Some extreme protestant evangelicals are in the same position as Jehovah's Witnesses, who say the word "Trinity" is not in the Bible.Whereas theteaching is plainly there in the bible and the Church simply defined the term. The same holds for Purgatory. Some protestants might argue that Purgatory cannot be clearly seen. This would be a weak reply, as many protestants are subjective as to what they see. After all, Luther, Calvin, Wesley, and a host of others could see infant baptism, while Spurgeon, Billy Graham, and others could not. Apostolic Christian teaching is more logical. God had established a Church to be the final arbiter, and he is not the author of confusion. The development of doctrine is like the development of a photographic image. The image is on the film, but as time and circumstance change the image emerges clearer.

There is not one text which asserts that the Bible alone is sufficient. The famous passage that asserts that Scripture is profitable (2 Tim. 3:16) means it is helpful but not sufficient. It is profitable for me to drink water for my health, but it is not sufficient. I cannot find one verse which teaches that the Word of God is purely written. Instead, we find that Jesus had honored non-scriptural tradition in the Jewish faith community he belonged to. His condemnation of the false interpretation of tradition given by the Pharisees was not a condemnation of tradition per se. The Church he founded on his apostles (Peter in particular) was a Church that accepted teaching both in written epistle and by word of mouth.

Always with Christ,

Amen

I agree with you, I am attacked every time I post on here!
No mater what I post it is chewed up and corrected.

I posted my testimony and it was corrected by someone that said I said it wrong. They seem to think they know it all, and God made them the corrector and the finnisher of my faith!

They say and insist they are right and when you try to defend your faith these people say your wrong!

It not nice to be chewed up and spit out by people who claim to know God, but fail to show the fruit of Love.

It's like most churches today, all preach the word, and are well schooled in it, but when it comes right down to it, thier fruit says they don't live it.

If they did live it thier words would bring life, not divsion!

It's a noise I am so tired of hearing, and it breaks my heart to know they do it in the name of Jesus!
What kind of face of God are people seeing by what they do?
A judgemental and critical God, that's what they see!
The become a clanging symbol a noise without meaning, and a reason for persicution to come to the body of Christ.

All I want is to share Jesus, and His love!
I don't want to share in the body of Christ as we know it today, and see it in the churches around us, they lack the fruit of love, and prove they do not know God when they speak.

I don't think you offended anybody, and if you did, it's not on you!
It's on them!
The truth is a good thing, and people that get offended because of it need to be set free.
The truth is what sets us free!
I enjoy reading your post,
in fact, you are one of the people I look for to see if you have posted.

I get lifted in my spirit by them.

Don't let some of these people in here get to you,
I plan to just ignore them.
Let them speak to the wind, since it is all hot air, it should just blend in with all the other hot air this summer!
