It'st not the gospel of heaven, it's the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST!!! Some people think everyone gets to go to heaven. Not so. Only the righteous will enter heaven, yet still some people consider themselves righteous. And they say they are righteous because Jesus died. If righteousness was by his death only then everyone would go to heaven. But the righteousness was confirmed in his resurrection. So then, if we are dead to the flesh, we are resurrected WITH Christ. We are resurrected to life again through him. So you can't have the death without the resurrection. Sorry, will not do.
I see another trend of tricks. Everybody has something to say about this or that, but WHERE IS JESUS CHRIST? It is not a gospel of heaven, nor a gospel of hell, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ!! Stories about heaven will save NO ONE. One can make pretty stories about heaven all day, get people feeling good about it, and both of them end up in hell.
It is not the gospel of the fear of hell, nor the hope of heaven. It is the gospel of the fear of God and hope through and in Jesus Christ. Because the Lord will say to MANY people on that day, ''Depart from me you worker of iniquity.''
We don't follow any other Gospel other than that of Jesus Christ. And the good news is this:
The wrath of God is stored up for all doers of iniquity. It is waxing hot against rebellious people. In fact, because that everyone has sinned, the wrath of God was on us all. And what could we do by fear alone? We could quake we could tremble, but we could not escape the wrath by our own deeds, as even what we esteem as good is not good enough with God. But God saw a way. The penalty was death by sin. So to reverse this he had to give an offering to die for righteousness, to give us life for our death. Jesus Christ was sent to this earth to take the very penalty of death, PRONOUNCED TO THE WHOLE WORLD!!
Do you understand this? Where we should have died, he died on our behalf to calm the wrath of God against us. If his blood was shed for us, then it is his blood that God sees as holiness and righteousness. And anyone who listens to his obedient Son, and obeys him, the anger of God will not touch him. He will escape only because of this mercy sacrifice. But if this man tries to please God any other way, by some goat or sheep that cannot do away with sin. Or if any man preaches another gospel whereby we must be saved, or if they forsake the cross, even the resurrection and start tickling ears, the wrath of God will burn hot. Because God did not sacrifice goats, or houses, or sheep, or money for us. He sacrificed the life of his own Son. So how can we spit on the blood with sacrifices? ONLY THE BLOOD OF JESUS WAS SHED FOR REMISSION OF SINS!! ONLY HIS!! NO OTHER NAME!!
