I was in chat this morning and someone said that it is wrong to pledge allegiance to the flag and to be patriotic to your country... That is the most rediculous thing i have ever heard. We have to have nations. Nations represent order.. Without nations , it would be chaos and anarchy,, We say God bless America, and God will not bless chaos.. there has to be order.

I don't necessarily think there is anything wrong with it but then you have to remember that quite a few wars were started because of nationalism. Like many things, it's okay to a degree.

Ok... tell me if this makes any sense..Im gonna denounce the flag, that represents the men who gave their lives to give me the freedom to denounce the flag... Am I the only one who doesnt see the logic in this?

No, i understand what you're saying, Dude. In no way should our country come before God, but there is nothing wrong with being patriotic, respecting the flag, etc. The Bible says to obey the laws of the land you're living in, as long as they don't contradict the written Word of God. "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone" is in Romans 12:18. When our soldiers are out protecting our country and their families, it is awesome to support them, respect them, and show them honor. A democracy for a government is not the biblical example of government, but it is not sinful. Therefore, as Christians, we can support and honor our country, our military, and our leaders, as long as we continue to have God first in our lives and our hearts. The moment patriotism becomes more important to us than our relationship with Jesus Christ and what He did to save us, THEN we are in sin.
