A friend of mine moved back to Texas this summer from South Carolina after he dropped out of college. After I left for college this fall my friends back home noticed that he started acting really strange and we found out that he was diagnosed bipolar and stopped taking his medicine. In the past couple of weeks he stopped sleeping and had been breaking into peoples houses refusing to leave and at one point broke into my parents house and walked into their bedroom to try to find me at 3:00 in the morning. Meanwhile I'm 300 miles away in college. The stuff he says makes no sense and its obvious that he is completely gone. This last weekend things really got out of hand and his father came in town and they finally got him arrested so that they can force him into treatment. Its a good thing because I'm afraid that he would have hurt somebody because he would drop comments suggesting that he might do something. He has been resistant to treatment and doesnt accept that he is crazy. He keeps calling my friends and I from the hospital talking nonsense and asking us to get him out. I just cant take answering the phone and talking to him because its like I'm not talking to a real person. It hurts to see a friend of yours completely destroyed.

Pray for him that he will accept the treatment that the doctors give him and that God will heal his mind will help him learn to live with his mental disorders.

Lord, I ask that you restore this person's mind. You said, Father, that you didn't give us the spirit of fear, but of love, peace and a sound mind. Give the doctor's wisdom to know how to treat him and pull this problem out by the roots. Make him whole, Father, for your purpose and glory. I ask for peace and protection for his friend and loved ones. I ask that you touch him this night with your power and love. In the name of Jesus, Amen. I will continue praying for him.

Its sounds more like he has developed skistsofrenic disorder. sorry about spelling. He is at the age that it can happen. It can be difficult to get him medicated because often they feel so good without it. I will ray that he is diagnosed properly and that he accepts the medication. I will also pray for healing. Hang in there I know it is difficult to be his friend right now. I will keep you in my prayers also.
God bless, pickles
