And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. (Matthew 26:30)

Jesus knows His death is coming but He sings.

Isaiah 53: 10-11

"
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.' "

Good eye nl.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

That is so powerfull, Isaiah 30:15 In repentance and rest is your salvation, In quietness and trust is your strength. Some words from Exodus 14, go along with how peacefull Jesus was; compose yourselves in confidence in God... Very Powerfull, Paul and Silas sang and the iron bars busted.. Strongholds are like that..No wonder it says, rejoice always,,,, TY.

He may have been preparing to follow the Lord's will. We today may be called by God to do hard things or things that are not easy at all but we should give God praise for using us for the greater good.

.....and, again, I say, rejoice. :)

Even Jesus knew and FELT real human pain. I think, Jesus heard words like these as He was sweating drops of blood at the Garden of Gethsemane, as, He looked off at the disciples He asked to stay awake, for evil is around, and, what were they doing? ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. :(

Discouraged from all this? You bet ! But, that when Love comes to town and, I think we can be certain, that God assuaged Jesus' sad heart at his friends letting Him down, in His human nature, such as is ours, but, without sin, by these words, spoken to His torn, 'cupped' heart.

Rejoice always, 17pray continually, 18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 19Do not quench the Spirit. 20Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22reject every kind of evil.
23May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

Good thread, NL, and, insight, and, also, milady, JK, who is a geek :p But, you are a Godly geeky, IF that';s any consolation :)

Jesus was a 'suffering servant,' and we to be too
