Jesus Married???

Jesus was never married.Though he was a man,but I'm sure he wasn't as human as we are.He never sinned.

Case in point. Zag is basically saying getting married is a sin. Though from his next comment, we have already established that Zag is insane:

I know of no account of reputation proving Jesus was married. However, Jesus did live as a man and was subject to the desires of mankind. Should it ever come to pass that Jesus was discovered to have been married then it would fall in line with His being tempted in like manner of all desires. Jesus would have no doubt kept the laws of the times and lived accordingly. To find Jesus was at any time married would not hinder my faith it would in fact enforce it. But until something manifests that proves matrimony, it is simple hearsay and often creates division.

There was a scrap of paprys found but it has been proven out to be a fake. It had many grammar errors in it.
But logically, knowing what we do about the Lord..He would not get married, have children and leave them without a father or husband. That is so out of character for the Love of God !

There's no reason whatsoever to think Jesus was ever married. If He had been, why wouldn't it have been mentioned in scriptures? Afterall, it wouldn't have been considered wrong by the writers of the gospels. He obviously wasn't married. When He was on the cross, He asked John to look after His mother. He didn't mention any wife there or anywhere else. This is just another fantasy contrived for itching ears.

Charlamane has a great case in point here look at the culture would Jesus Mary Die then after raising from the dead go to Heaven and leave His wie and children no a husband does not do that like that.Jesus would never do that WE ARE THE BRIDE OF CHRIST HE IS MARRIED TO ALL OF US BIBLE BELIEVING CHRISTIANS AND US UNTO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST..;.;

You're right, Ugly, that wasn't fair of me. I actually know many kids who are home-schooled who aren't .... well, like that. I do apologize for my statement, and if I have offended anyone here who is home-schooled (or even who isn't), please forgive me.

Can you indicate which "5 ways" the parchment was proven to be false, and where you got this information?

Again, I'm not saying the parchment isn't a fake. It very well may be. The point is, even if the parchment is a fake, that doesn't "prove" that Jesus was not married, any more than the lack of its mention in Scripture as we have it is proof. Again, if anything, the "default" for someone in his position in that day was married, so it would be more likely for them to have mentioned that he was not married, if he was not, than for them to mention that he was, if he was. We really do not know, either way, and as many people have said, his marital status does not change what he did for our sins. He is still our savior, and being married would not negate that.

i wasnt home schooled and i havent met any scientists. i wonder what kind of person i am? well either way, i dont believe that Jesus married. at all. case and point. but i wont sit here and stop anyone from believing what they want. all i can do is correct the misunderstood as much as i can but that wont change opinions

So, it's quite possible that at some point there, someone named Jesus was married. Do I believe Jesus Christ was married, no. Because, like Intercessorginger says, He would not leave His children or wife abandoned. We can even see that at the cross. If you remember, Christ specifically appoints one of the apostles to look after Mary. "When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he said to his mother, Woman, behold your son!" However, there is no mention of Christ asking someone to look after His wife or children. Also, if He really were married, I believe a lot of the other non Christians, who were first hand witnesses and wrote about Christ, would also have mentioned it.

Jesus was not required by law – either governmental or religious – to marry.

If, when he reached the age at which young men in his day married, Jesus and his family realized that he had a special calling which would make marriage quite difficult, then he could surely have remained single.

Two prominent Jewish writers from the first-century A.D., Philo and Josephus, mention that some Jewish men in the time of Jesus were single by choice and actually praised them for it.

Jesus had women family members, friends, and followers; however, nothing in the New Testament suggests that Jesus was ever married to any of these women, or to any other woman, for that matter.

So your theory is he was just stating to unrelated sentences that had nothing to do with anything?

Why would he write "He never sinned" if it wasn't related to his first statement in some way?

But then, I should know better than to look for logic in these boards.
