I've been reading the Gospels on where God is preparing Jesus for the end of His trial. There seems to be so much symbolism in how God prepared him and the way Jesus prayed.

Praying for God to lift the burden from him as a confirmation or to strengthen him if He chose to make Him go through it.

Matthew 26: 36-46, Mark 14: 32-42, Luke 22:39-46

Anyones views or opinions of how they see this -- just wondering, thanks : )

god bless u,i believe that the final pray of jesus in the gethsemane was not only that he wanted his father to keep from the death of the cross, but when he was saying my soul is exceedingly sorrowful was not because of the pain that he was about to experience in the flesh. He was asking God the father that if it was possible, take this cup away from me,it was because, all of our sins were put on him so when that happened God the father who cannot stand sin was going to be separated from Jesus thats why the pain, the sorrow, and bitterness in his soul.He had never been separated from his father and when that happened Jesus souls felt such a pain that being in agony, his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground,Jesus was not even worried about the pain, his sadness from being separated from our father in heaven, was way beyond any pain or fear of death.
