I just broke up with my fiance, we had been going out for almost 2 years and were engaged for 3 months. It was a God thing and I broke it off with him and we are still friends, but I am having a hard time transitioning my thoughts away from thinking of him romantically, and I have some depression issues so this isn't a huge help. It was a long distance relationship so at least I don't have to see him in person so that should help the healing process. I could also use prayer that the new fire I have for God stays lit, that I wont let it go out, and that He leads me where I need to go in life. It's just really hard to figure out my new future that just opened up. And I know it's stupid, but I'm worried I wont find another guy. Thanks!

Dear Jesus, please make (and keep) Hannah on fire for You for the rest of her life. Please comfort her in this time of distress and bring her a whole new measure of the peace that passes understanding. Jesus, please calm her thoughts and help her keep her mind stayed on You. In Your own name, amen.

Isaiah 26:3 ~ "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

Philippians 4:6-7 ~ "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Feel free to PM me, if you'd like.

It's also hard for me to say this but, have faith in God. I myself am struggling with something similar to what you are also going through right now. As a fellow Christian, I would suggest you refer to Romans 8:28. I live my life daily according to this verse, it has maintained my faith as a Christian. Although I myself will have to admit that I sometimes have doubts, but always remember that God is with you always whatever path you take. You can accept that God has a plan for you and will give you more than you dreamed. Refer to Jeremiah 29:11.

I believe you can find a guy that is right for you, all you need to do is ask/pray to God about it. God may want you to wait, but the wait is well worth it. Have faith in God to do the good works.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plan to give you hope and a future.

I will definitely pray for you, keep us updated.

I pray that the peace of God which passes all understanding will be with you especially at this difficult time in Jesus name.Remeber to look unto God the author and finisher of your faith soak yourself in his word .You will get someone beautiful in his beautiful time(God`s time)

You are in my prayers inJesus for all you ask.

Re:Just Broke up with my fiance.
Give thanks in all circumstances;for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you 1Thes 5:18. Sometimes God does something to our favour but we don't know.God i'm sure has a better plan for you.Focus more on Christ in thanks giving and praises and you will see that it was to your favour. My prayer is that your fire for Christ continues to burn.Stay blessed.

Yes, I agree. In everything give thanks... even when we don't feel like it.

Thank you for all the prayer and encouraging words and scripture.
it still hurts but I am looking on the bright side, I am free to do God's will now!

May God's peace and love compfort you, focus on things you love to do...People are attracted to people who are happy and content.
You will find love again, I will pray for God to put the man He wants for you, in your life! Take care and God bless, Shekaniah

The bottom line is that if you cry you won't cry forever. You release it and it's done in a short time. Same when you miss him. Then within a few months that will go away too. Time heals. It's so hard, I just went through the same thing. but only my relationship was 12 years. We just weren't happy anymore though. We just needed a change and no matter what we did we couldn't seem to keep it going. I still miss her a lot. And we chat a bit but it's been about 2 months and I'm feeling a lot better already. I think a lot of the greiving is over. So it will be the same for you too. Just be single for a while. It's like a breath of fresh air. It's so relaxing and refreshing. You can just relax unwind recalibrate get back to getting in touch with who you are. Be your own best friend again. And not rely on someone else for your own sense of self worth. Also the other thing is that live just keeps moving on. There's no turning it back it just keeps going forward. All you can do is go with the flow right. Just keep moving forward. But just be single for a while and rediscover yourself. Dear lord help her to cry it all out and greive so she can get back to her sanity and discover herself again. Please comfort her during this difficult time. Amen
