I was just browsing for a new forum, when I found this post from zeroturbulence, and this is what made me want to register here, because I feel strongly about a lot of this myself.

Hope I am not violating any rules by quoting this. I did not see anything about it in the guidelines.

I feel strongly about:

- Employers being forced by the govt. to provide free contraception to their female employees through their insurance companies (against it)

- The inaccuracy of the published unemployment numbers in the US (it doesn't count those whose benefits have run out, or the under-employed). A better indicator of economic health is the GDP and GNP (Gross Domestic Product and Gross National Product numbers).

- The disturbing attitude for socialism in this country (and the fact that they won't admit that what they want is socialism).

- The rising price of gas and food... its absolutely ridiculous! Gas costs about 1.5 times the price of milk and food prices have gone way up as the packages it comes in have shrunk.

- The proliferation of atheism and anti-christian sentiment in the world today. Anti-catholic sentiment is even worse.

Haven't filled out my profile yet, but I'm just an average American disturbed by many worldwide trends toward angry atheism. Actually I'm sort of a frivilous lightweight. ;p
