Kanye West storms Grammy stage, rants about Beck's surprise album of the year win

Rapper Kanye West reprised his infamous stunt at Sunday night's Grammy awards, unexpectedly taking the Staples Center stage as Beck was accepting the Album of the Year award.

The singer-songwriter's win was the unquestioned shock of the night, as his "Morning Phase" album beat out both the night's top winner, Sam Smith, and the category's expected winner, Beyoncé.

Not the first time this twerp has done this. He tried to embarrass Taylor Swift back in '09 when she beat out Beyoncé. This time, after last night's asinine behavior, he went on a rant about "real artists" the Grammys have apparently (in his weak-minded opinion) dissed.

West said, "I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should've given his award to Beyoncé.

Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration," West continued. "And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place."

Apparently the only artists who are "real artists" are Beyoncé, West and maybe Pharrell Williams. The guy's a moron.

Yep. The Grammys have become nothing more than a political war anyway. You've got the centrist to conservative artists -- mostly from country, Christian, and some Blues and Jazz folk -- on one side, and the rest who have to politicize everything on the other. I didn't even go into the fatuous inanity displayed by the leftist artists with their willfully ignorant "Hands up, don't shoot!" displays. I don't even watch this show, don't know why I even bother to read the news accounts the next day.

Beck should have told West he'd let him have his trophy if he'd just let him choose where to give it to him.
 
yeah, I quit watching any kind of award shows years ago. the are all political.
