After watching Lent Hovinds seminars, I will be ensuring my child watches them when older. He is informed of both sides and speaks nothing but the truth. He teaches Science and creation. Also there are seminars on the corruption of education and textbooks. He teaches you how the government indoctrinate the youth through education just as Hitler did to raise his army from young. He is fascinating and very funny. A must see for everyone who is interested in a biblical view of science, government and NWO.
 
I think Hovind mixed a lot of truth with a lot of error.

I think that is pretty well documented.

If you do a little research into how exactly Hovind wound up in prison,
and how the cases went, and what things he did during the legal processes...
you may be a little reluctant to just believe everything that comes out of his mouth.

A lot of the apologetics information he gave was good, and some of it was not.
I don't think I'd use him as my source for apologetics material.

There are plenty of other people who do a fine job explaining creationism.

I think I'd get my materials elsewhere.

I was surprised when I watched some of Kent Hovind's (older) videos. Although given a lot of flak from the established Creationist organisations for his beliefs, I think he knows more about how the world works than they do. Obviously, he does get some stuff wrong (I think he is supportive of Rothschild "Israel", believes the Earth is a planet orbiting the sun etc.), but he's definitely a better source for broader knowledge than the large Creation ministries (which generally address the issue of Creation well, but fall short on other areas of conspiracy and Christian discernment).

He was obviously disturbing the criminals in government, 'cause they threw him in jail for 10 years simply for practicing his constitutionally guaranteed rights (although he may have made some legal blunders in accepting the authority of the court).

He still writes letters from jail, and I believe can be contacted online via this method.

Tax fraud is still a crime. Also, I've never heard Answers in Genesis etc. discuss conspiracies.
 
I thought tax fraud (or any fraud) required one to lie? I'm no lawyer, but I understand Kent Hovind dealt honestly with his government? Just because the Mafia or any other bunch of crooks tells you that you owe them a debt, doesn't make it so, even if they have more guns. (That said, if you don't pay 'em what they say you owe, you'll usually end up dead, or in Hovind's case, jail).

The primary purpose of Answers in Genesis, Creation etc. is to support the biblical account of creation over evolution, which I believe they do well. They also deal with some other theological issues, and some of these they do well. Other areas, however, I believe they fall short (e.g. their stance on genetic modification, their naturalistic interpretation of the "sons of God" in Genesis 6, their opposition to Geocentrism). Again, these areas aren't the primary focus of such ministries, and I also realise that openly denouncing any unlawful government action or focusing on related conspiracies could jeopardise their tax (exempt?) status.

From listening to some of Hovind's videos, he was unafraid to call conspiracy where he saw conspiracy, or to denounce unlawful government action where it was unlawful. I was really just saying that if people want to know more about the conspiracy than just creation/evolution, Hovind is a great source to start with.

...so naturally he would be appealing to conspiracy theorists

The early Christians were allegedly criminals, too. The label of criminal by a criminal government doesn't mean a lot.

As for pseudoscientist, that's also a label used by evolutionists for scientists who believe in creation. Again, in a world where most scientists believe in some degree of pseudoscience (e.g. evolution), the tag "pseudoscientist" by itself doesn't reveal much.
 
Watching Kent Hovind seminars led me to question my evolutionary beliefs which which eventually led me to Christ. In fact, Holy Spirit so convicted my heart at the end of one of his seminars I prayed myself into Gods Kingdom with him. So yeah, hes made mistakes, may say some error here and there, may even believe hes right when hes wrong...but dont we all?

I've seen some of Kent Hovind's stuff, and I admit I cannot overthrow many of his Theories except with Scripture. While some of his theories are merely facts and others are of course all ready disproven too. I don't think he's a bad man, not too clear on all the sides and opinions of his legal woes to make any sort of opinion on that as I'm more interested in his theories and ideas. I think he presents some good theories people should ponder (believing them is another issue.)


For instance I do believe in Creationism, but since I view it in a Biblical standard I would take issue with some Creationist scientists for putting an age on the Earth specifically the 5000-6000 year date that gets tossed out there a lot. Remember The Bible says before Man fell from Grace in Eden that Mankind was immortal and perfect. We don't know how long Adam and Eve were immortal for until they eat from the Fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and so Death enters the World and they and many other things begin to have Mortal life spans. This creates a pretty wonderful theory that the Earth has an unknown age by our modern conception of it. One can see this theory in how evolutionists must revise age of Earth older and older because they don't know its age and Creationists of different religions/philosophies cannot agree on how young Earth is because neither do they know its age lol. Don't worry though because God knows how old his Creation is and how long it shall last.

For Kent Hovind in particular, specifically his ideas, don't think of them as bad or good, think of them as true or untrue. Many are just innocent theories I believe and by true science (observation and experimentation) one can prove, disprove, or even render new alternate discoveries and theories based on those theories.
