Since God said let Us make man on Our image, one can only conclude that the entire image of man reflects the entire image of the Three in the one God.

  • The Father is represented by the image of the Head with the Mind from where all Thought originates in eternity.
  • The Son is the Word and is represented by the image of the Face with the Mouth, the Eyes, the Nose and the Ears. He is the one who has always been the liaison between God and man. The Spokesperson.
  • The Holy Spirit is represented by the entire Body with its power of the Arms, Hands, Legs and Feet by which things get done, brought into existence or removed from existence, built up or torn down.

The creation in Genesis reveals how the Three operate and it’s very similar to how man operates when bringing something that at one time did not exist into existence. A lot about the Three of the One God can be understood by looking at ourselves and how we bring things that at one time did not exist into existence.

When a man brings something into existence it always begins as a thought in the mind… what we call an idea. This represents the Father. He is the Thought in the Mind of all existence. This is why Christ said “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Only the Father knows “that day and hour” because He is the Thought in the Mind. Like the head and mind of the body of man, the Father, who is the Head and Mind of God, is where the entire plan of existence is contained in Thought. And like the head and mind of man that controls the entire body of man, the Head and Mind of God (the Father) controls the entire Body (the Image, the Three) of God.

The next thing that takes place when man brings something into existence is that he talks about it. This is what God does also. In Genesis before God brought anything into existence He spoke about it first and said, “’Let there be light’; and there was light.”

This happens by the Word of God. Nothing comes into existence by God without it first being spoken about by the Word which is why it says in John 1, “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”

Notice it said all things through Him implying that Another (the Father) was involved in creation because the Thought or Idea was with the Father, which comes out through the Word. So just like man doesn’t bring anything into existence without first thinking about it (thought) and then talking about it through words, God does not bring anything into existence with out the Thought and the Word.

The next thing that takes place when man brings something into existence is he gets to work on it by employing his body, which is where all his power resides. First the man has an idea, then he discusses that idea then he uses the power of his body to bring that idea into visual completion by using his legs to get up, his feet to walk to where he must go, his arms to lift what he must lift, his hands to hold and shape what he must hold and shape.

God does the same thing by the Body and power of God which is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, like the body of man, does all the actual work when bringing the thought of God that was spoken by the Word into existence. The power of the Holy Spirit can bring physical matter into existence, spirit into existence, transfer Thought from the Father into the mind of man to teach and the Holy Spirit can actually completely control the actions of any man like was done to king Saul when he began to prophesy.

Notice in Genesis how the “Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” The Power and the Body of God was hovering over the waters waiting to hear the command of the Thought of God spoken by the Word.. In a similar way the body of man waits (hovers) waiting to hear the command of the thought of man spoken by his words.and then the body by its power moves into action.

All the above is the Three of God which is identical to the image of man. So we can understand much about God by looking at ourselves which He created in His entire image.
