That article is a nice find; especially to somebody who is annoyed by the mytholization/metaphorization of Eden and Genesis in general.

Whenever the bible goes into geographic detail, I think those are generally facts being laid down for our benefit. I doubt there is anything left of the garden that we could possibly identify; but, you never know... maybe there was like a no-trespassing sign to warn people about the angel with the flaming sword.

Perhaps the angel with the flaming sword is part of the spiritual bodies like the one Jesus had after resurrection.
This is a topic of great interest to me and I’ve always said that even if Eden was a location on earth, the properties of biology itself might have been different … again the only reference is the resurrected body of Christ.
He could go through walls but also eat bread with His apostilles.

One thing that seems to get overlooked: Noah's flood was incredibly destructive. No one can say for sure what the topography was like prior to the flood.

Scientists believe vegetation was incredibly lush before the flood from the fossil record. Maybe God will make it so again after the white throne judgement.

The amount of silt, clay and alluvium that was deposited over the face of the earth by waters would have been phenomenal. Whatever the earth looked like prior to the Flood, it bore zero resemblance after.

Think also of the deposits of water-laid rocks and strata that we currently know about. Vast quantities of calcium were removed off the earth and reformed below ground as Chalk and Limestone. Carbon was buried and transformed into coal and oil. The earth was a very different place in ancient times than it is today.

Jesus had a physical body after rising, but He could also vanish and reappear someplace else, and change His appearance at will; He is God and can do whatever He wants.

On the other hand, aliens are physical, can go through walls with the help of devices, and can die. There are vast differences…..
God created ALL of us and is Supreme!

Geography is so varied that it is hard for Flat Earthers to conceive of how earth can change in an instant. Have they never seen a volcano erupt, or a landslide, or been in a flood, earthquake, tornado, blizzard or witnessed a typhoon?

As for Eden, there are now many Edens dotted around the globe. We call these botanic gardens, or utopias, oasis, paradise. It is possible to find if you look hard enough.

I looked in the 1001 Gardens to see before you die book and it did not list The Garden Of Eden.

But that's not to say it doesn't exist. It just hasn't had any maintenance done since 6000BC, so it's not really open for visitors.
