Maybe you should try to go into business for yourself.

I'd say it must not be your financial blessing then, if others are receiving it.
Just have to keep in mind we're having a high rate of unemployment nation wide. There are a lot of other people in your situation. I know that doesn't help any, but so many Christians take it personally against God when in fact there are a lot of people out there suffering and seeking work. Its just a sad and difficult fact of where our nation is at right now. Wish i had more encouraging advice, but maybe a little perspective will help your faith at least.

My other tip (from an employers point of view) would be look at your resume. Is there anything you can change on it?
Do you send out the same resume for every position you apply for, or do you change it as required? By this I mean, tailoring your resume so the information on it, is pertinant and relevant for the specific position you're applying for.

Sometimes, people can make the mistake of including ALL of their skills/experience on their resume even if it's not relevant to the job they're applying for. It sounds strange I know, but you can sometimes list too many things (even if you have a vast array of skills etc, try only to include what is relevant to the specific job). If you make it to an interview stage, you'll often find the conversation will open up for you to also include then some of your other areas of expertise that arent mentioned on your resume, however this can be tricky too, you need to guage the conversation. Again, sometimes it's better to have the 'less is more' approach, by only highlighting your areas of expertise which are RELEVANT to the position.

Let me give you an example:

You're applying for a position as a cashier at a supermarket. You may have a degree in teaching, night-school diploma from beauty school, and be proficient in speaking swahili, have done a photography course, and learnt to do short-order cooking but none of those things are going to help you in this role. Many employers will look at that and think 'well why isn't she looking for a teaching job?' Or they may see it as 'well she's not really sure what she wants to do, shes taken so many courses and still cant figure it out, it's likely she wont stick around' so they dont bother with your application. OR, they think, 'She's done so much, she has a pre-conceived idea, she wont be willing to learn our way, and we wont be able to mould her to fit our team' so they move onto the next person.

Much of being successful in finding employment is how you present yourself. Usually a resume is the FIRST impression an Employer gets of you. Make it a good one. I get dozens of resumes every day. Some stand out, most dont. When I need a new employee, I dig them all out of the filing cabinet, and often am hard pressed to find maybe three potential applicants to call out of the 100 or so resumes in my file.

Another tip is (if you can) apply in person. If you're just cold-canvassing and dropping resumes into random employers, then get dressed up, present yourself nicely, walk in and be prepared to talk. Be confident. Don't just hand your resume to the person at the front counter and leave. ASK to speak to the Manager, then be willing to introduce yourself and explain what you're looking for.

This post is a lot longer than I intended it to be, but let's narrow it down to two things shall we:

1. Resume -make it relevant, and make it brief. Employers dont have time to read longwinded resumes. It supposed to be a brief overview of you, and why you're the best candidate for the role. Make it stand out. Include a cover letter. Check for spelling/grammar mistakes.

2. Presentation/Interview skills - take time to present yourself. This doesn't have to cost a fortune, but at least look like you've made an effort. Be clean, tidy and well dressed. Take a few minutes to prepare a couple of answers to common questions such as 'what kind of work are you looking for' or 'when are you available'. Be succinct with your answers, but honest. Give enough information to answer without going overboard. Be direct, be confident, but not cocky. DO NOT BE VAGUE. Answers like 'uh, I dunno, whatever's going I guess' or 'i just need money' will not be successful in most cases.

I hope that helps.

Do you believe And have confidence in God? It is in the delay our opportunity" the testing of our heart" is done. Sometimes the blessing is on the otherwise of the trial.. Keep your confidence in God... I'll be praying for you. :)

what kind of Job are you looking for? If it won't hurt maybe you could spend a month or two voulenteering. work HARD like SUPER hard and they'll think about employing you. ^_^. or at least you'll have the experiance on a resume so next time you apply they'll see that you know what you're doing?

Porn is bad. Please don't do that. Being homeless is more honorable than betraying yourself and God. I know super cool homeless guys that have powerful Christian testimonies. Like this guy got stabbed and the knife bent, and he got shot and the bullets fell to the ground in front of him. (Now consider this guy was close to God.)

If you don't want to resort to sin to obtain money, then don't. Make that conscious choice not to, and stick with it.

I've been unemployed for nearly a year myself, and the rest of my life so far has been one disaster after another as well, except for almost 4 years. I've been lucky enough to be able to move back in with my mother. And sometimes that has been nearly as unbearable as living in a ditch somewhere. That being said, I've still got financial issues due to a health problem. Can't believe how much essential drugs cost these days. I'll tell those wall street campers where all the money has gone. Its gone to drug companies.

I was in your situation about 2 years ago, when I was fired from my medical professional career at a large hospital for standing against evil, and defending a woman who was molested in the operation room by a male nurse, but please listen:

I lost everything, I thought I had it all, money, cars, big home, crammed full of material wealth and vain entertainments etc..

I was a mess, but told I was saved, because I received Jesus many years ago, even though my lukewarm life was an abomination to God!

I was lukewarm, double minded, and loved the world more than God.

Here is my point, until I came to the bitter end of self and I mean loosing my job along with my pride, I was useless to God, He is no respecter of persons, and demands obedience to His truth!

Remember the rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous, so God is waiting patiently for you to repent and seek His mercy, seek Him apart from any worldly endeavors, and give your heart and life to Him.

I was in huge debt, had huge bills due to my greed and idolatry, and utterly in despair!

I knew what I needed to do, as I cried many tears of hopelessness, as I sat in my huge home, filled with all my greeds!

After that, I took that step in repentance, prayed to God to lead me out of my mess I got myself into, and even if I ended up on the streets living in the gutter, I would be content!

The house soon sold, I got hired at two jobs, but nothing like I had before, I gave away tons of clothes and material wealth, sold the fancy sports car, for about One third of what i paid for it, and spent my time in HIs word, and in deep prayer, plus sharing my faith with many lost souls.

I lost my huge retirement, my status, and was hated by many from the hospital I was fired from, but I gained my savior back, He led me away from this dark part of my life, I came to Him in brokenness and humility, repentant, which meant the sin stops, never going back, and following Jesus on the narrow path that leads to life! I now live a simple life, is a small apt. out of worldly debt, depending on God now for my provisions, and walk in sinceerity, purity and love, preaching the truth to whom will listen, but shunned and ignored by family and past brothers and sisters in Christ, who are trapped in the false church!

I wasn't the big shot anymore, even the church I was in abandoned me, so as you want a blessing as you say, you must do your part, as I can see you are looking for job, but IF your heart and motives are wrong, then God will not do His part, let go, repent, come out of the false church system that teaches word of Faith, Benny Hinn nonsense IF this is where you are at, fall on your face in humble repentance, you will stand alone in your faith, but not in your spirit, God will quicken you, if your repentance is real, fill you with a new and living hope, even if it means, doing a job you don't want to do, or doesnt pay what you want, as He promised us food and clothes, and any more we have is a blessing, to not take for granted!

Hope this helps!

And remember God hears the prayers of the righteous, but not those who profess Him but live a life pleasing to self, in sin and indulgence!

I didn't know there was such a thing as a "financial blessing" to catch. God has promised water and bread. Maybe what you need is just a little more faith.

Almost any training in the health care field will land you a job. I don't just mean a doctor or a nurse. There are quite a few positions available in billing, collections, janitorial and food service. Administration, accounting and clerical positions may also be found. Medical insurance companies also may have positions available. Some of these positions require education. You are young. You can get financial help if you need it. Community colleges are a great place to start. Pray for guidance.
