He sat close to the fireplace, the cup with the hot coffee in his one hand. He looked forlornly at the seat he sat close to, the seat his wife had usually sat in; he missed her. He remembered the day she left the house; his heart was broken, and severely at that. He had seen the signs while they were still together: her moodiness, withdrawal, and a general change of behavior towards him. He had spoken more than once to her about it, hoping she would open up to him, tell him what the problem was, so that they could sort things out, but she had remained tight-lipped, and totally shut herself off from him.

He remembered the day he returned from work, only to find out that she had left the house; The note she left behind, scribbled with a very short but heart wrenching words: 'I found someone better.' He broke into silent sobs immediately, he had given her all the love he knew existed within him, he wondered where he had faulted. If only she had open up to him, if only she had relayed his mishaps to him, he would have made amends. He sighed, mentally, and emotionally exhausted.

She looked at him as he laid beside her, it was like a veil had been removed from her eyes. He had told her that things could never get better than they were between them; He would treat her far better than her husband ever did. Looking at him as she did, it dawned on her that in comparison to her husband who had shown her love without boundaries, unconditional love, he had brought her only pain; the feeling of worthlessness and emptiness had been her constant companion. She felt drained. What had attracted her to him again? Oh! she shook her head sadly as she remembered.

He had flaunted dainties her way - things that were glittering but as she had recently discovered, were not gold. She wondered if her husband would take her back; she made up her mind to at least try. Without thinking more about it, she got dressed, and with one last glance at him, ignoring the question in his eyes, she left without a word.
She kept staring at the door knob, what if he saw her and shut the door in her face, what if he refused her apology, what if he... She shook her head, doubts and all, whatever the outcome, she made up her mind to try. She knocked lightly on the door and waited. She watched the door slowly as it opened, and raised her eyes to meet the one who had opened the door, her husband.

The look in his eyes caught her off guard. He had the look of 'relief' in his eyes, and something else, she gasped as the realization hit her; he still loved her.
Before she could say the words 'I am sorry,' he wrapped her in an embrace that almost left her breathless. 'Welcome home beloved, welcome home' he whispered in her ears as he held her closer to him; in that instant, and without any atom of doubt she knew that he still loved her...

Dear You,
Whatever you've done, wherever you have faulted, whatever mistake/mistakes you have made in the past or even today, quit running, and return. You've hidden in the dark for too long, come out, and receive 'The Light.'
And yes... God will receive you if you return in sincerity to Him today...
Father is waiting, please come home...

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
