Down through the years people have talked of love
It’s a tender thing to hold it’s a little like a dove
You hold it too tightly and you may crush and it dies
Hold it’s too lightly and guess what? It fly’s
Love is like trying to catch of early morning mist
You grab for it and it slips right through your fist
There is no telling when love will hit you hard
Its makes tuff men all mushy like a tub of lard
Martin Luther King was a great man of vision clearly
He loved his people but it cost him very dearly
Gandhi spent many years in jail for no real crimes
Could too much love kill you every time?
