Have you seen it? I thought that it looked really far out from the commercial, but I didn't realize that it promoted a false promise to become a God. Are there any good movies to watch anymore? I rarely make it to the movie theatre.
 
I've seen the commercial. It took a few times to actually process what they were pretty much saying within it. I'm not one for action movies or many of the films they try advertising anyway, but yeah...
 
Oh, boy! The movie's just a sci-fi/action/thriller - a What If? cautionary tale. An excuse for cool and crazy action sequences. It's not promoting a false gospel but telling a fun, creative but brainless story. I'll be seeing the movie.
 
Sometimes movies are just movies. And sometimes there are people ignorant enough to create this junk about them.
 
I'm not against fiction. I'm against the fact that the movies are being passed off as prophecy. I think that it's time that parents teach their children what fiction and prophecy mean.
 
The real problem is some big-wig, Christian ning-nong decided that they didn't understand fiction, so it was all evil and had ungodly agendas. Fiction can be used for good or evil. In this case, the movie just looks like silly, fun. No deep message, nothing. Just an interesting What If? scenario that any creative high school student would've written for their creative writing piece.

Why would you expect christian themes or principles in secular movies?

Its science fiction. Four hundred years ago people would consider computers satanic.

I saw it and it does seem to be against religion, (non spoilers) theres a scene in this where they talk about lucy the ape being the first woman on earth, also theres a scene where it shows a compilation of what humas have made, done, and accomplished with 10% of their brain compacity and in one shot it shows the creation of adam painting, as if potraying that religion is man made. However this is not the reason why i didnt like the movie, it was just dumb, and it has one of the worst endings i have ever seen. But dont take my word for it, watch it for yourselfs, if you want.
