well we went to marriage counseling today and still I have no peace. I don't know what to do. I just keep praying my husband will open up and give me the answers I need to be able to heal and move on. Counseling was his idea after all. I am getting weary.
 
Jesus knows.
Rest in Him. - For it is He who will never leave you or forsake you.

I dealt with my bitterness through the Basic Seminars at www.embassyinstitute.org (first seminar is free--but they are ALL SO GOOD!)
Bill Gothard's teaching is powerful straight from the Word of God... I didn't even know I was free from bitterness until hubby told me some hurtful truths and I realized ' oh my, how come I don't hate him?' It was easier to forgive.

I'm going through my own sadness... at least your husband is willing to stay with you. Mine wants nothing to do with me at all... because he doesn't really want to change.
 
I'd like to say something seemingly critical, but only because I too have struggled with it. I see danger in something you've said. What your husband say of does of does not say or do is not what enables healing. Healing is your choice to pursue regardless of what he does.
 
Father please give them understanding for each other,
Reveal to both of them what is causing this division.
May Your fruits be what shines in this marriage.

Abba Father by the authorty and in the name of Jesus Christ we ask you to bind the spirits tormenting this couple lord bind them in counseling that the words be true and bring glory to God and end the discord of this marriage Lord renew minds and bless this union so together they bring glory to God in all their ways til the end of days lord we thank you we praise you amen

Go to the great and wonderful councelor, Jesus Christ, seek His mercy and come clean before Him, repent of all known sin and worldliness before Him, and stand and be a strong witness to your husband, all counceling does is put a small bandage on a huge wound!

Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and make sure your house in is order spiritually.

It wont be easy, there are no easy answers to the sinful choices of mankind, you are not responsible for your husband, we all must work out our own salvation with great fear and trembling.

God wants you to come clean befor Him first, as well as your husband, and this can only come from real repentance and faith, not taught anywhere in the lukewarm Christian world today.

I know you love your family but we are to love God more, and please and obey Him, as Jesus commanded us to do!

He is no respecter of persons, but simple gives His grace, mercy and power, to the repentant, broken sinner, seeking His mercy by doing this first:

Jas 1:20 For the wrath of man does not work out the righteousness of God.
Jas 1:21 Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.
Jas 1:22 But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Dont let the world and its ways drag you into its clutches, you may stand alone, but God be with you, He diddnt promise His followers a rose garden, but He did promise a way out to those who perservere to the end, and stay on the narrow road!

I am praying for you. I agree that you should attend a Bill Gotthard seminar. I am currently doing this and it does wonders for the soul and it is very eye-opening. The biggest struggle for me was the denial that I had sinned. I made excuses but the seminar brought me closer to God and how I should live.
 
Hey there, just wanted to note that many times people in the Bible didn't feel peace about something God wanted them to do, like when Moses was told to go before Pharaoh. Emotions are volitile and they change all the time. We gotta focus on our Rock, God, and what His word teaches, no matter how we feel. I have seen many testimonials about God healing marriages that have been through very tough things. God is the great restorer, the Almighty healer. God bless you and I hope things go well for you and your husband.
 
God Is using this hardship in your life to glorify his kingdom and to give you growth.. Know that god has given you enough strength to move forward. He wants you to tunnel your way out of darkness so that you may see the light of his plans for you stay Blessed
 
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.

29 He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.

I encourage you to wait for the Lord, dear one. :)

He will never fail you, no matter what others may do or not do.
He promised you this:
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. (John 14:27)
