i am battling some ill feelings toward my mother because she is in the way of me being married and being someone's wife

marriage is not done in isolation and i am struggling spiritually because men seem to judge me based on what my mother is like because they think i am the same way or will be, but by no means are we the same person

her thoughts, her attiutdes, her own views toward marriage are all making it difficult for me

Lord please prepare a man who will not judge me based on my family and knows real love

We invariably inherit (emotional) baggage from our parents.

It takes an enormous amount of real spiritual growth to genuinely get beyond all that.

If God has prepared you for a man he will embrace you and your mother.

Which is more important to you? Growing and pleasing God or getting married?
