[h=1]Matthew 25:14-15 King James Version (KJV)[/h] [SUP]14 [/SUP]For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

[h=1]Matthew 25:14-15 Common English Bible (CEB)[/h] [h=3]Parable of the valuable coins[/h] [SUP]14 [/SUP]“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who was leaving on a trip. He called his servants and handed his possessions over to them. [SUP]15 [/SUP]To one he gave five valuable coins, and to another he gave two, and to another he gave one. He gave to each servant according to that servant’s ability. Then he left on his journey.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

14 This man is Jesus; He traveled back to heaven leaving us to tend to His church by His Spirit. We are left in charge of He had started and by the Spirit we can take care of things.

15 God give according to what we can handle thru Him leading us, some He gives more right away and some of us gain after making the most of what He has given us. God does not leave us even thought Christ went on His journey but we are to do the work and not expect Him to do it for us but we are to let Him do it thru us.

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

Yes this passage is speaking on the measure of faith we each are given, and if you squander that which you are given and do not build upon it then you will be punished as a disobedient servant.

Luke 12:42-49 and Hebrews 3-4 are also parallel passages that speak on continuing in obedience in the faith, and the danger of being a lazy disobedient servant.

Here is another passage that speaks on putting us as overseers of others, and a warning along with it:

Acts 20:28-31

28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.
