Truthfully, what He wants is for us to place our faith in the work of the cross. When we do that the Holy spirit begins to sanctify or separate us from the world and live according to His word. Their is nothing else we can do, besides share what marvelous things God has done for us with others.

Here are some Bible examples of those who sought the Kingdom of God first.

In faith, Abel gave favorable offerings. (Genesis 4:4Hebrews 11:4)

His faith and obedience showed he was seeking Gods Kingdom first. His offering was from his heart.

Noah did all the things God commanded. (Genesis 6:22)

Being obedient to God saved him and his family. He stayed clear from the law-defying people in loose conduct.

Abraham and Sarahleft behind the comforts of Ur. (Geneses 12:1; Hebrews 11:8, 9)

Abraham and Sarah were given a promise from God and in faith they left the comforts of Ur, a modern city for its time, to live in tents.

Ruth became a worshiper of the True God. (Ruth 1:16)

She left her natural family and their Gods and went with Naomi where she served the True God.

The 12 disciples left jobs to follow Jesus. (Matthew 4:21,22)

They saw through Jesus’ works he was the Son of God and left things behind to follow him. The original 11 continued their faithful course after his death.

Jesus did the will ofhis Father and remain faithful to his death.(Matthew 20:28;John 3:16; 18:37)

Jesus came to earth to teach the truth about God, to set an example in doing God’s will and to sacrifice his perfect life for humans.

Seeking God’s Kingdom first involves having our priorities in order. Jesus set this example for us to follow. Life is very rewarding if do this. We need to have faith in the Kingdom and what it will accomplish. Seeking God’s Kingdom and its righteousness means we are obedient to his commandment even if it causes suffering. (Acts 5:27-29)
